- MTMercedes TaylorJan 30, 20261.0Friday January 30th around 5:15 pm called and was told to hold one moment please and I was on hold for 20 minutes. I called back and they picked it up and hung up. The third time I called back and the guy answered saying, "please hold one moment" And I said I did hold for 20 minutes already and I called back and someone picked it up and hung up and he said because I have a customer in front of me and that if I want to hold or call back later. I think he could have apologized and told me he would be with me soon. I think you guys need to hire another person for Friday afternoons. There's a million other auto part places.i hope the owner sees this. It was rude. He didn't deny it when I said someone picked it up and hung up... Again, the response was, "I have a customer in front of me."I'm not accustomed as well? By the way, I'm a woman and to be treated like that calling an auto parts place can make me feel self-conscious like I was being ignored. I was looking for a part.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
