This place has been decent for the most part, in my opinion. As a customer and an avid driver, I'll offer some important suggestions and highlight some problems I've noticed, like I do with many businesses.
PROBLEMS-
1. This location seems to consistently have a staffing shortage. Often this location has quick influxes of too many customers at one time, and TOO OFTEN the checkout area is left with just 1 or 2 employees to charge customers, answer questions, or to walk customers to another area of the store in search of an item.
2. Around half of the employees seem TOO RELIANT on whichever manager is present at the store at any particular time.
It appears as though they have not been thoroughly trained. A great many times I've observed an employee be asked a question by a customer (or myself) only to have that same employee ask the manager directly. Indicating that the employee wasn't knowledgeable.
3. In conjunction with problem #1, this location seems to consistently have a problem with lines and delays when dealing with customers. I'm sure that the staffing shortage is also to blame for this. If the duties of the store are re-arranged and made more efficient, perhaps less delays will occur.
SUGGESTIONS-
1. This location should change MUCH of its infrastructure and the manner in which it dispenses items to customers. For example, instead of having shelves that layout the items for customers to grab, you should have automated clear glass containers (think vending machines) that dispense each customer's selected item automatically. Each container should have its own digital payment module for the payments. That way customers can purchase items themselves without needing an employee to pay, these containers can prevent theft, makes the store more efficient in its sales, can ensure that items aren't damaged by any customers, and this model of dispensing can store more items within the limited space of the store.
2. This store should have computer stands (or screens), where customers can search for car parts that fit the model of their car, themselves. For instance, I can walk into the store and input all my car's information. The computer tells me which part I need and where it is located, without consulting an employee. Having to consult an employee for which car parts fit a vehicle, is inefficient ESPECIALLY if there's a line or few employees.
3. Automate more of the store's tasks so that jobs are completed in less time and with less mistakes.
4. Once this store has implemented suggestions 1-3, it should change its hours of business to 24/7 business hours. This will provide INVALUABLE CONVENIENCE to the community! Car emergencies can occur at any time of the day. A customer can simply walk into the store AT ANY HOUR to purchase the item that they need, even if no employees are there. If the store automates sufficiently enough, it can operate 24/7. This would give the store a GREAT reputation for convenience! Which is good for business.
5. The store should also automate the "pickup option" for car parts and have the items ready for pickup 24/7. Thay way, customers can purchase the items from the store website remotely and then pick up the items at any time of the day that is convenient for them.
PLEASE IMPLEMENT MY SUGGESTIONS!!!
The community and your customers NEED these conveniences implemented! TOO MANY PEOPLE are at work, the same hours that many necessary stores (like this one) are open. And when they get off work, TOO MANY NECESSARY STORES ARE CLOSED!
If you implement my suggestions, it will inspire other stores to do the same! And will make everything more convenient.
The world isn't automating LESS, it's automating MORE. You must do the same or get left behind.

I recently purchased a electric jumper at this store. The jumper didn't work leading to that I had to ask someone at the airport for help to jump my car using another's car. The jumper said is good for a 4.0L car but it did not work at all so I went back to make a return. However the lady at the store said I they do not accept return and insisted that the one sold it to me must had told me the return policy which is totally not the truth. The truth is the receipt did not state that nor did anyone tell me at the time of purchase! It was like I was a liar, it was so embarrassing! I should have asked her to check the video recorder but I was too upset to do that! She finally made the return to me and told me that it will not happy again. But I will definitely never visit the store forever. Don't go there.

I’ve been shopping at this advanced auto parts store for over 20 years. I recently purchased a lithium battery for my son’s used car only to find out that it wasn’t a battery that was wrong with the vehicle. So I returned it the following day and I was told that they do not accept returns on batteries. The receipt did not state that nor did anyone tell my husband at the time of purchase, I asked to speak to the manager, and he was rude and told me to put a bad review if I wanted to because he’s not the owner of the store!
Don’t make the mistake of shopping in the store. Terrible customer service!!!

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?
Expand FAQ item
Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
