  Headline: Safety Hazard & Unethical Business Practices – Avoid This Place! I would strongly advise anyone looking for a boat rental in Marathon to look elsewhere. My experience with Oceanview Marina was not only disappointing but potentially dangerous. Despite their website promising "clean, comfortable & reliable" boats equipped with stereos and coolers, the reality was the exact opposite: Safety Issues: The gas gauge, depth gauge, and no VHF radio. Broken Promises: No stereo and no cooler (even after asking). The Fuel Scam: I was personally guaranteed by Erick and the dock hand that the boat had a full tank. Trusting them, I headed out, but as a cautious captain, I stopped to top off at my home marina. It took 95.6 gallons to fill a 100-gallon tank. I was essentially sent out to sea on empty. When confronted, Erick admitted things "slipped through the cracks" and promised a refund for the fuel. However, I later encountered another renter dealing with the exact same "broken gas gauge/empty tank" story. It is clearly a pattern, not a mistake. To make matters worse, despite me returning the boat 100% full to ensure the next renter wasn't stranded, they still charged me an additional fuel fee on my final invoice (Invoice #9413178). Leaving renters at risk of being stranded at sea with non-working gauges and no fuel is a massive liability. This business is unethical and operates with a total disregard for customer safety. There are plenty of reputable rental companies in the Middle Keys—do yourself a favor and use one of them instead.

  It’s not often you get an excellent experience overall , but that’s what happened with the Great team at Ocean View Marina . I trailered my boat down from Miami and was able to safely drop off my boat even after closing hours ( remote gate ) The next morning we were greeted with smiles and asked if we needed any help ( we didn’t ) and launched our own vessel off the ramp . No potholes , not slippery and plenty of fresh water to clean her up after . Next time I’ll rent a boat so we can fish ocean side - the rates and quality of boats make it worthwhile to not have the hassle of trailering . Eric and his crew were all super friendly , helpful and engaging with my son about fishing and his experience in the keys . We felt like VIP’s and have no hesitation in sharing our great experience, highly recommend !

  Absolutely love having my boat at this marina. The service Chris and Erik give is second to none. You don’t find service like this anymore. Highly recommend this marina to anyone looking for dry storage.

  I recently had to Haul Out to do service on my engine. Chris and Alex, the managers, are excellent and very accommodating. The yard is well organized, and very clean. There was both Power and Water where my boat sat to be serviced, which was a nice feature. If the office happens to be locked, it’s because they’re in the yard, And there is an office number and cell phone number posted on the door to be able to reach someone right away. Or, obviously you could just walk into the yard and someone would punch you in the right traction.
