  We were on our way from Stock Island to Islamorada when our port engine started acting up. Just a couple of minutes later, the starboard engine quit as well and refused to restart. Not exactly the kind of excitement you’re hoping for out on the water! We immediately started calling marinas, beginning with the closest ones, but kept hearing the same thing: “Sorry, no room.” Then I called Faro Blanco and got Randy, the dockmaster. Without hesitation he said, “Come on in—we’ll find a spot for you.” With one very questionable engine, we slowly limped our way in. The team was waiting for us, helped guide us safely into the marina, and gave us the easiest slip possible to get into. From that moment on, they could not have been more gracious. What we thought might be a quick stop turned into a 10-night stay while we waited on parts. Thankfully, Faro Blanco made that unexpected delay about as pleasant as it could possibly be. The marina is beautiful and the amenities were such a treat to have while we were stuck waiting. Over those ten days we got to know quite a few of the staff, and every single one of them went out of their way to take great care of their customers. It truly made a stressful situation so much easier. We can’t recommend this marina highly enough. A special thank-you to Randy, Annie, and Jack—along with the rest of the wonderful team—for helping turn a breakdown into a much better experience than we ever expected.   BEST MARINA resort in Marathon! We have been here 2 winters in a row and have loved every minute! Dock master and all of the staff are top notch! We also love all the amenities this marina provides! We would highly recommend this location!

  Very nice overall, Marina staff is great from top to bottom and well managed. Could use another shower but small compromise to make for everything else. We’ll be back! 😎👍 (T & F on Crazy Horse)
