This advance auto parts store is spotless and well organized- the floor was so clean and polished you could probably eat off of it… , The management has pride in their work here that I just don’t see much in recent years at any store. I had one of the best customer service experiences here today that I’ve had in years. I was buying some simple items, not even that much money.. it was so impressive that I am taking time out of my day to write this review. Folks, Go out of your way if you need a part to this location! Kudos to the manager on duty today.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
