Gave them the correct year, make, and model vehicle and they recommended a battery for my vehicle. 2 weeks later, my car died again. I took my car to the dealership thinking it was some other electrical issue. Nope. It was the battery, Advanced Auto sold me the wrong battery. So we took the battery back to them for a refund, and they said the only thing we can give you is store credit... Why, would I go back to a store that is 'suppose' to be knowledgeable in parts and services when they sold me something that was 1. the wrong part and 2. technically did damage to my vehicle because it was they wrong part. Not the first time I've had issues with Advanced.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
