I posted a review of the service dept that was exactly opposite of this one....huge difference between the two stores.....you have to wonder why?
I previously had Hyundai employee status, so I knew all about markup from invoice to msrp, and factory to dealer money including floorplan interest assistance, ad money, incentives, and hold back money.
So . They tried to sell me a 25 Kona Limited at msrp, with an ADM sticker full of worthless add ons at inflated b.s. prices. On top of that, were a couple thousand dollars in phony fees. $ 1000 processing fee whose actual cost via 3rd party software is around $35 .
the topper was trying to rip off my trade in , a high performance, limited production vehicle which most dealers are lucky to get 2 to sell all year long. They gave me the ' we can buy it at the auction for thousands less ' b.s. You don't see these vehicles at the auction unless salvage titled, lemon law buy backs, flood damaged, or loan bank repos.
So, I told the resident b.s. artist to go to his office, grab his check book, and go drive to the auction to buy one.
Bottom line is I got a 26 Limited Kona for HALF the deal cost they gave me on the trade in for a 2025.
We ended up trading in 2 low mileage vehicles, getting KBB trade in values, no phony fees, discounts from msrp and incentives on both.
Wife got 2025 Kona SEL and I got 2026 Kona Limited.
Up in NYS, we called dealers like this ' stealerships' . How Florida allows what ,in my opinion, is legalized extortion is beyond me.
After reading other posters, ( No Name, Sherri Frester, S. Mackay, Brian, Trisha Rodriguez, Tina Jones, Briana Maynard) , I saw that my experience was not unique. The service dept did some warranty work on the trade , and they were excellent. Too bad the manager of that dept wasn't the New car sales manager or the entire dealership GM.
with tons of inventory and sales declining, smart managers prioritize turnover, instead of looting the pockets of every customer. I know dealership owners and have an MBA. I literally had to restrain myself from laughing during the sales attempts.
They lost 4 sales, 2 new and 2 used, due to rampant bad management, on my opinion.
you have other dealer choices, both in and out of state. Get top value for your money, and do your homework before you set foot in any dealer. You can only be ripped off if you let them do it.🤑💰😳🐷💥👀💯
