- JPJC PowellOct 31, 20251.0If I could give Enterprise Rent a car- Largo less than one star, I would. I had my car in for repairs on an insurance claim with AutoNation. AutoNation has an associated agreement with Enterprise rent car for customers. I had a four-day rental while my car was in for repairs at the end of July 2025. I returned the car 31 July, taking pictures with timestamps of the condition of the car, and reflecting that the gas tank was full. The very next day, I left for a business trip to Europe. The pre-agreed car rental for 4-days should have been 61.15 per the contract, with my insurance company picking up the remainder. Upon return from Europe, I checked my credit card and was mystified to find that I had been charged 152.89 for an ADDITIONAL (approximate) four days of rental. Both AutoNation and I sent documentation, showing proof of return on 31 July, with no damage, and a full gas tank and asked for credit. I was assured by email by Assistant Manager Paisley Fallon, that credit was forthcoming. THAT NEVER OCCURRED! I ended up having to dispute the charge providing proof to American Express and also enlisted the support of my (very large national auto insurance company) who had also been overcharged for those additional days. In the end, I won my case. But having expended a great deal of time and effort to win my case. This negative review and the additional work on the part of all parties was needless as Enterprise Rent a Car could have just credited back the monies, or more importantly, never made the mistake in the first place. According to my insurance company rep, THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH ENTERPRISE RENT A CAR BEFORE. My suggestion to those of you renting a car is look elsewhere so as to avoid this needless aggravation with Enterprise. It should be noted that this review in no way reflects the service I received at Autonation as I would give Autonation a five-star review for their service and follow up in this matter, fighting on my behalf.
