Don’t.
Had a 9 am appointment and the voluntary device we were going to have installed had not even arrived. A simple phone call to reschedule us and avoid an inconvenience would be nice, but it’s too much for this company that doesn’t understand customer service. We were told the device would arrive between 9-11 and that we should leave the car there. I’m glad we didn’t because the part didn’t arrive until 2:02 pm according to tracking. They caught an attitude with us because they felt they should have been informed that we couldn’t leave the vehicle there all day for them like we have nothing to do.
What a bad experience.

poor installation, they connected my retest alert to my alarm system. Not safe whatsoever. FL requires your horn to activate not your alarm system. device fuse blew after third day of install. had to get towed and new device. After taking it to another service center I was told the installation was improperly installed. glad i found a service center who has techs that know what they are doing.
Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start.
