- CMCody MichaelFeb 25, 20261.0I went to the Lake Worth Jiffy Lube for what should have been a simple oil change, and the experience was completely unprofessional from start to finish. Before my car was even serviced, I overheard the manager/head technician (an older gentleman with longer hair) publicly questioning one of the techs about his knowledge and training in a critical and confrontational manner. Hearing that kind of conversation taking place in front of customers immediately made me uncomfortable about who was working on my vehicle and how the shop was being managed. The oil change took over an hour. At one point, there were three separate technicians gathered around my car trying to figure out what was wrong. Eventually, they realized they had overfilled my engine with oil and had to vacuum the excess out. While correcting their mistake, the head technician, again the older gentleman with longer hair began complaining at the tech to hurry up and do other work. When removing the vacuum pump, it was him personally who pulled it out and threw it aside carelessly. I watched oil spill throughout my engine bay and onto my bumper, and I clearly saw the vacuum equipment hit the front bumper as it was tossed. He then sprayed an excessive amount of cleaning product throughout the engine bay in an attempt to clean it up. This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior around a customer’s vehicle. A routine oil change should not involve overfilling the engine, spilling oil, or carelessly throwing equipment against a customer’s car. I expected basic competence and professionalism and did not receive it.
