Giving 1 star ONLY BECAUSE OF ANGEL, IF NOT FOR HIM, I WOULD GIVE THIS VALVOLINE 0 STAR
Do yourself a favor, if you get Sebastian, ask for another service member.
We arrived at this Valvoline for a routine oil change. Everything was normal until Sebastian told us there were no more filters for my car. To his benefit, he did ask the manager how to resolve. When he came back, he told us that (i) they could go pick up the filter or (ii) we could go pick it up but they couldn’t hold the line for us. Granted by the time we got to this point there was a lot of back and forth. We were willing to get the filter; however, I asked if we would be reimbursed for the filter (since it should come with the service) AND if I would be able to apply a coupon that I had. Sebastian immediately said no. He didn’t even ask the manager or offer have the manager talk to us (again, a lot of back and forth before this point). I looked at my husband and just said “let’s go, he won’t help us any further”. Sebastian immediately got defensive and came at me saying “how was he not helping? I am offended” in a very hostile tone. I told him “well you said no without even getting a second opinion or asking your manager so yeah you aren’t going to help us any further”. Sebastian raised his tone and told him that me that I was being offensive and that he couldn’t believe I would say that. I asked for his name and he went “here. Here is my name, on my shirt” but wow, you could tell he was very angry. I asked him why he was raising his tone at me and why he was escalating the situation. He didn’t respond to the question and kept raising his tone and overall being negative until Angel stepped in. Angel came in with a solution and was able to get the filter and allow us to apply the coupon. He was professional and nice (even though Sebastian definitely didn’t give him a rave review of me). Angel was great and would definitely recommend him.
If you are the owner, please give Sebastian training for customer service and anger management. We all deserve a second chance but I wouldn’t want another customer to experience what I did.

I had a great experience at Valvoline thanks to Angel. From the moment I pulled in, he was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood what my car needed without feeling pressured. The service was quick and efficient, and I really appreciated his positive attitude and attention to detail. Angel definitely made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I’ll be coming back because of the excellent service!

Sean and Jorge and their team have been amazing. I haven’t gotten an oil change myself in 10 years cuz my husband always did it but I’m getting a divorce and they made me feel comfortable with the questions I ask and everything since I didn’t really know what I was doing! They are even checking my tires and other things! Thank you!

We have come here for a couple of times as we travel from Fl to Mass frequently. Today’s visit wasn’t the most pleasant. They recommended we have our oil gasket replaced as it was wormed out and oil was leaking from it, fine we took their advice but went for a second opinion with our experience mechanic in the area. As he was checking the tank he noticed the oil filter was not new and we corroborated it since we saw the guy servicing our car writing something on the new filter with a black sharpie. Attached is the picture of what the “new” filter looks like. Very disappointing as we are Vavoline customers in both states.
