- MWMcGale WinnJul 2, 20251.0While waiting in line to be checked out using my rewards, the shift manager (heavy set dude with beard) start demanding in a harsh tone to customers (4 or 5 others with me in line) "if youre paying with debit/credit to use self checkout" while standing outside of the counter next to self checkout- leaving the other employee by herself at the register. After I told him I wanted to use cash and get tobacco he reluctantly stormed back behind the counter to solely cash me out - so I used my card - noticing this he got even more aggressive stating that "I JUST ASKED YOU IF WERE USING A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD!!!" provoking me. I stated the I have a right to change my mind and "self" checkout is at the discretion of the customer and NOT him. Its diabolical as a manger he would have this tone with the people who are responsible for his paycheck! Corporate has been contacted!
