After more than 3 years as a customer of Mr. Car Wash, it’s sad that I have to leave this review.
On September 4th, during an automatic wash, one of the rollers scratched the front of my car. I didn’t notice the damage until leaving the tunnel. I went back immediately, staff took photos, and a report was opened. About a week later, a staff member mentioned that another car had a similar claim that same day, suggesting something was wrong with the wash system.
For months, I never received a real response. Finally, on March 15th, I spoke with a manager (not the one present when the incident occurred). Based on memory and without checking the records, he said my claim had been denied and even stated that the scratches clearly were not caused by the rollers at that location. He suggested possibly offering 1 or 2 months of free membership, which obviously does not cover the damage.
On top of this incident, the service has declined: no small towels for interior cleaning with the products, no area to clean floor mats, and vacuums often clogged or broken. Many locations no longer offer free vacuum, now an extra charge.
Because of this experience, they didn’t just lose me—they lost a family of 4–5 members.
Photos of the hood damage from that day are attached and photos from before too.
If anyone from corporate sees this, please review the original claim from September 4th at this location.
We stopped there after our drive from up North, my car was bad, covered with road salt, and grime from the trip. Got the basic wash plus, ($14) which also did the undercarriage and wheels/tires, came out great, no missed spots, shiny and dry. We were very impressed, also used the free vacuums, will use again.
