I’ve been going to Valvoline with all my personal and business vehicles because I do believe they have good oil, but they don’t stand behind their work. We took one of our work vans there and had to wait in the parking lot for 15 minutes before even going inside, which was fine. The technician was taking far too long to do a simple oil change. After a while, one of them came up and showed me a stripped oil pan bolt. I thought that was strange because the last few oil changes had been done by Valvoline, so the only people who could have stripped the threads were them. But it got worse. After trying to plug the hole and stop it from draining, they told me the oil pan was also cracked. They said not to drive far and recommended a shop about a mile away. We went there, but the oil wasn’t dripping, it was pouring out, and we basically arrived on a dry engine. Then we found out the shop they suggested doesn’t even service high-ceiling vans. Luckily, a shop across the street did. I had to pay for the oil pan replacement out of pocket because we need our van for installs and material pickup. Valvoline denied my claim, saying they have video proof that the van arrived with a cracked oil pan. We sat in their parking lot for 15 minutes with the van running, and there wasn’t a single drop of oil on the ground. How is it that the moment the van leaves their shop it’s suddenly gushing out oil? They refuse to show the video evidence claiming it has "proprietary data" on it. How convenient for you Valvoline. I’ve called customer service and tried speaking with the local manager several times, and I’ve received zero response. I am out $2500 for the oil pan replacement and plus a stupid oil change which they still charged me! Do yourselves a favor and go to a real shop.
