  Manager Stephen and the entire staff deserves a raise! Me and my wife have never gawn somewhere, where the entire staff from the front counter to the parking lot/garage was everyone was top tier.

  Corporate pilot here. They always confirm they are using my company card, then charge my personal. Then tell me they will reverse the charge but never do. Worst customer service. FOLLOW UP: I dropped the car off on the 31st and they charged me until the 2nd because that's when they finally decided to go pick the car up. And as a response to Michelle, below...you really want me to go do more work and jump through more hoops on this? How about you provide some customer service and call me . I on my review to your company I left my phone number and gave permission to call me about this matter. Unbelievable.

  Worst experience at National car rental. Be aware that if you have a “hair” on your drivers license, they won’t let you rent a vehicle. Waited 10 min for a car upon arrival. Adjusted everything inside the vehicle another 10 min. Drove to the exit where they ask you for your drivers license. When I handed it to them, they told me “we can’t let you rent a car from us due to a crack in your drivers license”! Are you serious? It’s a legitimate government issued license. There was no tampering involved, nothing that would hinder a scanner from reading it, the bar code was completely viewable and scannable… Only a minor crack was present. I travel all across the country renting cars solely from National. Not once have I ever had an issue with the crack and that same crack has been on my license for years. Just an “I’m sorry” and they send you on your way. “Well what am I supposed to do now”? She responds “I don’t know”. Well then that makes 2 of us. I went to hertz… Sold out. I went to budget… Sold out. Sixth… $400 a day which cost more than my trip. Turo… Because it was past 11:30pm, they don’t reserve. I had to uber to Gainesville which was over 1.5 hrs away costing me $167. Absolutely horrific on Nationals part. What exactly will this minor crack cause? It doesn’t prevent me from getting into an accident, it doesn’t prevent me from getting a speeding ticket, it didn’t prevent me from flying to Jacksonville, it doesn’t hinder my insurance, it didn’t prevent me from checking into my hotel. So what’s the issue? I event offered to show them my passport just to prove it’s me on my drivers license which didn’t phase them 1 bit. Horrible people working there that could have saved me the hassles mentioned above by saying “listen, we don’t except drivers license that show damage but because you’ve been with us for 7 years and are loyal to National, we will allow this 1 time exception but next time, please make sure you’re license doesn’t have a crack in it”. Simple! I was even told by the employee that I should laminate it. So that’s acceptable to cover the entire license where you can’t inspect it yet a minor crack is grounds for not renting you a vehicle. What I had to go through was completely unnecessary and unwarranted. So be advised that if you have a piece of sand stuck on your license, be prepared to either walk, take the bus or uber to your destination.

  My trip to Jacksonville Florida didn't start so well. Especially when I went to pick up the rental my company got for me. It was an issue of my doing. We met Whitney working the counter she helped us get on the road with another car under my travel partners name. I fixed my issue and came back the next day to pick up my rental and my buddy returned his vehicle. Who was at the counter? Whitney! She greeted me with "hey friend" and a smile. How awesome. I gave my paperwork and license to her and she gave it to her supervisor. That is where I met Stephen. Those two together were the dynamic duo. They had me out of there in no time with a great rental. These two people are a big asset to your company. Excellent customer support and service. I will be back in May. Hope to see those two again.
