    I came to Whistle for a routine wash on my wife’s car. We were greeted by a gentleman named Dee, who handled our transaction smoothly. When we pulled up to the wash, there was no one around to guide us in. After several minutes of waiting—and a line of cars piling up behind us—Dee noticed the gap in service and stepped in himself. He was patient, kind, and genuinely apologetic about not having the support he needed. He even handed my kid a lollipop, which instantly flipped a frustrated situation into a calm one. Meanwhile, two other employees eventually showed up to help the next car, offering zero apology or acknowledgment of the delay. The wash itself was fine, but Dee’s care, professionalism, and attention to detail were on another level. He’s the only reason we’d return. Dee gets 5 stars from me. The overall rating is a 4 solely because of the lack of support and teamwork from the rest of the staff.

    Tyler is an amazing employee for Whistle Express. I go to 3 different locations around Jacksonville, and Tyler at the University location went above and beyond doing his job. Out of all the locations in Jacksonville, I’ll be returning and going out of my way for the university blvd location. Other locations around town could take a few notes on how to go above and beyond.

    I’ve used Whistle Car Wash several times and generally had a decent experience (3–4 stars). Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case on 10/12/25. Based on this visit, I can’t recommend them. I purchased a one-time wash and was advised there might be a short delay due to equipment issues. The staff was incredibly courteous and professional throughout. However, a vehicle became stuck in the wash tunnel, causing service to stop completely. After waiting about 10 minutes, the attendant apologized and explained that the owner had been contacted but would need to resolve the issue personally. He offered a complimentary future wash, which I appreciated, but I preferred a refund since I couldn’t stay due to other commitments in the afternoon. Unfortunately, no one onsite was authorized to issue one. I returned later as instructed as to when the owner may be available, but he never arrived, and staff still couldn’t process a refund. To be clear, the employees handled the situation with professionalism and patience despite clear frustration from other customers. My concern lies with the lack of management response and accountability. When issues arise, customers deserve timely communication and resolution. The owner failed not only its customers, but his staff as well. That's bad business. Update: Customer service to get a refund has been painfully difficult. Owners of the car wash have made no attempt to reach out or much less apologize.
