- RRRFeb 7, 20261.0I normally have great things to say about Autozone, but not this time. I was leaving work and got halfway to my new apartment and my battery light illuminates on my dash. I pull over and try to assess the situation and found that my battery had some corrosion on the terminals. I immediately clean them off and proceed to the closest auto parts store, which was Autozone across the road. I let them know my concerns and asked if they could look at my battery. They checked it and stated that it was ok, but needed to be charged and could basically be done by driving it or taking it out and charging it. I said it still cranks and asked for advice. So they gave recommendations as to where else to go because they were about to close. I said can’t I come back to this location to charge and they said no. They said that even though I wasn’t sure my car will be successful getting to anywhere else. They still turned me away and as soon as I made it about 3-4 blocks up the road, without shutting off the car…the battery died immediately. So now I can’t get to my job tomorrow. I don’t understand why they couldn’t give me a charge (even if for the 5 minutes or so). I understand that there are rules and they have a boss that they answer to at the end of the day. But as they have to work, so do I. I didn’t generally appreciate that my concern was taken lightly. That’s not like most Autozone’s that I’ve been to. Once my vehicle is back up and running, I WON’T be returning to this location again. Maybe others have had positive experiences, but this is not one of those. Guess I made the mistake of stopping at the wrong Autozone.
