  We rented a cargo van on 1/20/26 from Carl’s Rent A Van on Beach Blvd in Jacksonville, Fl for 2 days. Ida was helpful and answered all of our questions. When we picked up the van it was ready to go, performed flawlessly and the check in process when we turned it in was super easy. No hidden fees, excuses, etc made this rental a pleasant experience. The 200 mile a day was just a bonus, highly recommend them for cargo vans and passenger rentals, much better than the big rental companies. Bill Taylor

  I rarely give a bad review because I’m aware that things happen and I allow the person/business to rectify their mistakes. Unfortunately sometimes it’s what it takes to catch their attention. On Saturday we rented a van from Carls Jacksonville office (btw overpriced due to high demand $400/day) later that day I was charge $3,800 to my credit card for no reason (they didn’t knew either) I received a refund after calling, on Nov. 1st another $3,800 charge on my credit card for no reason. Spoke to someone today, obviously they were working on a refund, after she would speak to her manager because she wasn’t authorized for a refund of that amount, asked her to call me back with an answer of how to avoid this on the future and confirmation that the refund was made. NO CALL, so I called again and all the person could said was that they refund me the money and now is up to the bank and after that they will delete it from the system. (Still they don’t know why I keep getting charged). *** Vehicle review *** 1. Rear seats A/C did not work (yes I checked the separate controllers) 2. Doors for rear seats had a large dent, hinges had rust and made it unpleasant to open and close. 3. On the instructions they tell you to ignore the tire pressure warnings on the dashboard, even though when I check the tire referred on the warning the tire was low (30 psi) when it calls for 80 psi. It obviously looked low. PS, In case you ask why not address the vehicle issues while there, it was a Saturday pick up so no one is onsite for pick up. (Keys in lockbox)

  It was an easy & simple process to rent a cargo van from Carl's. The Staff was friendly & professional in person & over the phone. I'm planning to use them again in the near future. Thanks Guys for your help! :)
