What a mistake that was..i was told that they couldnt help and the girls working don't install batteries. I left and sropped at wawa for gas which happemed to be next to advance auto. Brittany ome of the workers was inside and saw i was visably upset on the phone, she overheard what happened amd waited until i hung up and asked if she could help. She tested my battery for free, and sold me the right one for my car. Not only that, she insalled it for me in less than 15 min!!! She was very sweet and comforting to me in a time i was in sheer panic. I will never forget this experience and will forever shop at advance auto because of her. Thank you so much Brittany!!!

Yes we do offer free battery installation on most products with purchase. We will also recycle and test your battery for free regardless if you bought it from us. Battery testing and installation is available at most of our locations.

Typically a car battery will last 2-5 years, with premium batteries lasting 5-6 years. But you should replace it every 4 years for safe measures if you want to avoid any unwanted problems.
What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
