My experience with the Joe Hudson's Collision Center in Homosassa was great. They were communicative through out the process, and the repair work was great. I specify Homosassa because it was good. Crystal River location, not so much.

Very disappointed to be writing this review. I hit a deer on US-19 and brought my car here because my insurance company guarantees their repairs for as long as I own the vehicle. During the initial inspection, I was told the repairs would take 10 days, and I was asked to bring the car back two weeks later. I made arrangements based on that timeline. When I dropped the car off two weeks later, I immediately received a text saying the vehicle wouldn’t be ready for 24 days. When I questioned the discrepancy, I was told the extra time was just “padding” in case a part arrived late. Padding? That’s a 140% increase over the estimate. Being without a car that long is more than inconvenient, and it absolutely could have been mitigated had we been told the truth up front. We planned for a couple of extra days — not an extra two weeks. That should have been my sign to walk away, and I regret not doing so. I washed my car before dropping it off to make damage easier to see. When I picked it up, it was filthy. Once I got home and rinsed it off, I discovered why — I counted 17 scratches and debris embedded in the paint across the vehicle. Since 11/25/25, this shop has failed to properly repair my car three separate times. The battery will not hold a charge since coming here, despite being replaced — a problem that did not exist during the two weeks and 800 miles I drove the car while waiting for repairs. The front bumper was also improperly aligned. The last time I received the vehicle back, it was in such bad condition that it had to be towed to another shop because the car was completely dead. Yes — after nearly a month and three attempts, the car had to be taken elsewhere because it was either improperly or incompletely repaired every time it was returned to me. All of this was verified by an independent adjuster after the third failed repair attempt. As of February 4th, my car is still not fully repaired due to mistakes and missed items. (We’ve had freezing weather recently, which does account for some paint delays.) To make matters worse, they have refused to return my deductible, forcing me to dispute the charge with my credit card company. What shocks me most is that I chose this shop because it was the highest-rated local shop on Google. Unfortunately, every part of this experience has been second-rate: the communication, the workmanship, the quality control and how the situation was handled when things went wrong. My original handler disappeared the moment the car was returned incorrectly and passed me off to someone else. Why wasn’t the same person who performed the intake inspections also ensuring the repairs she wrote up were completed correctly on the outbound side? This has been a disappointing, frustrating, and entirely subpar experience. I cannot recommend this shop.
