- RRRagetasticDec 27, 20251.0I went in at 8:30 (30 minutes before closing) the door was unlocked and an employee came out from the back telling me they were closed, all I wanted was to warranty a battery so I could get home and he refused, i even offered to pay him extra just to do his job, won't be going back after being stranded like that and I've probably spent 2 grand last year on parts, way to treat your customers ill be going right down the road to oreilys now.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
