- FMFausto MoralesMar 27, 20261.0Don’t go to this location. Go to any other location. The store refused to honor a car battery claim because their battery tester wasn’t working. I asked how long the tester had been broken and they said they had no idea. You could tell this was their script to avoid honoring warranties. I had to drive to the NW 13th location, where they honored the warranty. And, of course, the prices at this store are inflated compared to the Walmart less than a quarter mile away. My guess is that this location exists to take advantage of low income communities nearby that might not have the time or flexibility to drive to another location where they would be better treated.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
