We had a fantastic experience at General RV, thanks to Griffin. From the moment we walked in, he was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. He even encouraged us to bring our two dogs with us during the entire visit! They were treated like royalty and so were we! What really stood out was his low-pressure approach and wonderful sense of humor. He gave us the space to explore while still being available to answer any questions we had. Griffin took the time to understand or needs and offered helpful insights without ever making us feel rushed or pushed into a decision. We were unsure of our timeline for purchasing and were not ready to make any commitment, but his expertise made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. He gave us more options than we realized we had! We left feeling confident in our choices and grateful to have Griffin's guidance. He will be hearing from us in the future. We cannot wait to work with him again once we finalize our plan. If you are looking for a stress-free experience with someone who truly knows their stuff, we highly recommend asking for Griffin.

On March 11, 2026 I purchased a 2023 Winnebago View from the General RV Center in Fort Myers, Florida. The salesman Bob Ouellette did a good job at selling me this RV however he totally over sold the service department. The RV had less than 10,000 miles on it but had never been cleaned up or serviced since it was traded in. Bob convinced me that after this RV is put through the service department it will look like a brand new unit.
At this time the RV had dead lithium batteries, was missing the mattress located over the cab and the interior coach panel door was broken from the closure. Not what you would expect from a 2023 RV with a few months of powertrain warranty remaining When I examined the roof, I noticed it had small tree branches on it was dirty and chalky to the touch. I pointed that out to my salesman and he said all of that would be taken care of prior to closing. I later discovered one of the coach windows had a broken closure.
Bob assured me that the service department was excellent and all of these issues would be taken care of prior to closing on it.
General RV did replace the over the cab mattress however I later discovered after the closing it was not the correct size and type for a 2023 Winnebago View. I probably should have caught that prior to closing. I was told once you close on a RV, you have what you have.
On the day of closing I met with a pre delivery person and pointed out that the RV’s roof was still chalky and small tree branches on top of it. I also pointed out the exterior body panel joints above the cab on both sides were separated and needed resealed to prevent water intrusion. The pre-delivery person photographed the issues I had and assured me this would be taken care of while I was doing the closing. I never should have taken his word on that. None of the issues were completed when I finished my closing. I ended up agreeing to let them keep it overnight and delivered to my home the next day.
I took delivery the next day and the exterior paneling seams above the driver and passenger doors were still not completed. I called the service department and informed them they did not do what was photographed the day earlier. They offered me the opportunity to bring it in however travel to and from the dealership during season was not easy. Since both repairs were easy for me to handle they agreed to send me the window closure and sealant so I could do it myself. they asked me to bring it in again. Since this was a minor repair I convinced them to send me the parts and I would do it myself.
On April 7, 2026 over 3 weeks later I received a call from the service department. The service person said my window cylinder came in but it’s attached to a whole new window. They said Winnebago will not allow them to just send me the small part. Keep in mind my coach has 4 additional windows that are the exact same size and style. All of those windows are working fine. My window closure has 3 small screws to it so replacing that would not take more than two or three minutes.
Overall this has been a terrible experience.
Also when I requested the service history on the RV my salesman and his manager said they could not give me any information. Both my salesman and his service manger were surprised when I told them I was able to get a carfax on this unit from a friend. When I showed the service manager he said he had been doing this for over 20 years and didn’t know you could get a carfax on an RV. I had been to several other local dealers and all of them gave me a carfax on the RV I was looking at before leaving their lot. I would never recommend this dealership to another person now.

We went to an RV show in Fort Myers on Feb 1st and saw a Forest River Mini Lite 2109s. They had a sale going on, around $36,000, so we decided to get it. We had a purchase agreement form and paid a deposit. We didn't pay too much attention to the price, due to excitement and thinking it would be around $36,000 (which is our fault). After signing everything and picking up the RV on Feb 14th, when I got home, I noticed that the RV price was around $40,000, not including warranties or fees. (The same RV is currently listed for around $35,000 on the website.) I know it's our fault for not paying attention to the price before signing because of excitement and lots of other things going on at the RV show. I'm just writing this review so other people don't make the same mistake as us. Other than that, employees were nice and kind.

Very disappointed with communication and accountability at this location. Service rates hourly are costly enough but, diagnosing the problem and the cost of parts you trust that you’re getting their best service. I pulled up campsite 3 times because of the part not being complete the first time. The second time the part was there on their desk for 4 days when I called and confirmed, so I pulled up my Class A 35’. I arrive to find out they just opened it for the first time. It was a slide out gear, not a motor harness. I was informed that particular distributor messes up the order a lot., All the more reason to open it before you have someone drive their RV out of the campsite . Thankfully they did pay for the adapting harness due to being inconvenienced. I respect that. All said and done the tech put the harness on and calibrated the auto leveling-jack, and it doesn’t work. I’d have rather paid for the harness and it work than get it free but still no jacks. They wanted to book an appointment a week out to bring it back in for another diagnostic check. Unfortunately at that point I couldn’t be sure they didn’t guess at the first time. I had spent a lot sit was, needed to fly out the next day so I have short notice expensive new parts sitting in storage on my motorhome non of it resolved. The people are pleasant, it’s a clean facility, but someone needs to be out there in the check in lanes guiding all the time, letting customers know who’s moving next. I had to back up a long ways twice. Once, after nearly clipping a salesman, he offered me ground guide, as there was a surplus of show inventory in the lanes that week.. The second time, despite having to stop to let them come from behind me mind, no one offered to insure you dint hit that show quality inventory.. Customer Service is lacking considering thoroughness and accountability.
