I would not recommend Camping World in Fort Myers. We purchased a brand new RV from them about a month ago, and from the moment we dropped it off there were serious issues being addressed. There was water leaking from under the kitchen sink, and the unit had never even been used. That immediately raised concerns, so we started checking the rest of the RV more carefully. When we went into the bathroom, we found water leaking from under the shower as well. As we continued inspecting, we discovered mold on the wood underneath the bench seating. For a brand new unit, this was completely unacceptable. I have a severe mold allergy, so this was not just an inconvenience. It was a serious health concern. We immediately contacted the dealership and requested to refuse the unit due to the water damage and mold. We attempted to reach the General Manager, Benjamin Reed, multiple times but never received a response. Instead, we were sent in circles speaking with different people for weeks. After three weeks of pushing for a full refund on a defective unit, we were only given a little over half of what we originally paid. The entire experience was extremely disappointing. Once the sale was made, it felt like customer care went out the window. The lack of communication, accountability, and concern for our situation was frustrating and upsetting. Please do your research and carefully consider your options before purchasing from this location.

Benjamin R, the GM here is absolutely the rudest and most unprofessional person. I was given a deposit/monthly payment price before my credit was pulled, then that changed after my credit was pulled... I signed the paperwork confirming the down payment and monthly payment ( after credit pull). I dropped my camper off (as I was instructed) and scheduled pick up of new camper for the end of the week. With in 24 hours they called and instead of $7,500 deposit we agreed on, they wanted me to bring $16,000 deposit. When I refused, they went back and forth on deposit again (even though we already agreed to it and I signed it after my credit pull). They asked me to do $10,000 down. I told them I wasn't going to put an additional $2,500 deposit down that I would come get my unit & take it back out to New Mexico ( where I purchased the camper 6 months ago) and Benjamin felt that it was his place to question why I don't have the money to meet the $10,000 deposit but I have the money to drive from FL to New Mexico. He said it would be just as much, if not more to do that that and I mine as well just put that money on deposit. Obviously an extremely disrespectful comment to me, this wasn't about the money but at this point with the experience I had and the ridiculous requests for deposits, I would much rather drive and spend money with people who are respectful and decent. He also refused to locate my keys when I came to get my unit. They left the keys inside my camper, in the front lot, unlocked for anyone just to come grab. I hooked up to my camper before I went inside and not a single person approached me or said something. Thank God my unit wasn't stolen (with the keys in it ). He made passive aggressive comments to me during the process, told me "I seem angry about something" ( prodding at me because he knew very well after his comment to 20 min prior on the phone & the sarcastic remarks leading up to getting keys that I was less than pleased with experience) and he refused to retrieve my keys from my unit & told me to get them myself and leave. This was all blamed on finance, but keep in mind, when they put things through for finance... they don't keep the customer in mind. They look for someone to finance for you that they will gain from on the back end and not you as the customer. I sent the quote they gave me off to several other dealerships and I was told I was getting ripped off so *****make sure you get a second opinion before you sign anything or consider buying or trading in******* and if you want a pleasant experience, stay far away from there general manager Benjamin R. The front door staff were very pleasant and Stephens was extremely professional and helpful.

Started to dislike cummins generators and called to get other options for my motorhome. I hoped someone with a clue could help in service. Lady could care less. Transfered to parts with no one answering calls. Pathetic to leave people without an knowledge on service line that can only take an appointment.

We have had a class A motorhome that we bought at camping World two years ago. We have had the best service with them and they have been so helpful and easy to deal with. We just sold our motorhome back to them and it was the easiest process. Ft. Myers Camping World was so easy to deal with in the selling process. We have nothing but good to say about the corporation and their employees! Definitely recommend them when purchasing an RV.

Relaxing, I walk in to the store right at opening the young lady at the door I greeted her good morning. She just stared at me and ignored me. I know she heard me because she looked straight at me. But nonetheless, I then went inside all I needed was some propane for my R. V. I was told, oh, there's nobody here now to fill it. I figured maybe an employee was running late. So I asked when you'd say it's gonna be a bit. What do you mean by that? The employee then looked at another employee and said, I don't know maybe half an hour, 45 minutes at that point. Not knowing or any sure answer. I decided to leave this is not the treatment that I do. I have known I've gotten or expect from Camping World. There's so much so I have chosen not to buy my next R. V there or trade, my current one, which I was going to do this year.
