Didn't enjoy my experience. My flight was delayed several times. I called twice to confirm that I was still planning to pick up my rental and to confirm that my type of rental was still available. Each time they both said yes. When I got there, I was informed that the deposit would be $400 and it was higher because I was a Florida resident and they wanted to deter Florida residents from renting from the airport. However, I work out of state and I'm constantly at the airport and need to have access to a vehicle. Not that that should matter. Then I was told that they only had vehicles that were too downgrades from the vehicle tier I reserved. The issue was that they were trying to charge me full price for a downgrade. Or offer me a minivan which is not what I rented. It's extremely frustrating having to deal with flight delays and then getting to the rental place at 1:00 a.m. in the morning to not have what you reserved. After back and forth they decided to give me a discount but it shouldn't have taken that. There were several upgraded cars that they could have provided me but they told me that they wouldn't do that and then they also said that they didn't have keys to a certain vehicle which is very hard to believe being that it was parked right there on the lot. All around a horrible experience, customer experience needs a lot of help. I will not be renting from them again.

I booked a car reservation over two months ahead of my trip. When I arrived, my car was not available. In fact we were downgraded. I was told if I was unhappy I could swap out the car the next day. I called the following morning and asked for availability on my car as the airport was over an hour away from where I was staying. No call back within 24 hours. I called again the next day and was able to make a new reservation for a car closer. I went to the destination only to find out they didn’t have the car and claimed to “not have my number” to call me . They said if I went to the airport, they have 500 cars and swapping out could be easier. I went to the airport (not the one I originally rented but another one that was closer and had an enterprise location). I tried to swap for any larger car but was again turned away. The team member helping me didn’t even take my name or reservation number to try to help.I called again and expressed disappointment with this process and that I was running out of time for our family trip to a resort three and a half hours away. We had to leave items behind for our trip at a family member’s house to fit everything in the car. It wasn’t until we were finally hitting the road that someone finally called me back. They offered a car but we were already packed and hitting the road. I tried for two days to change cars and was unsuccessful. It was too small and smelled like someone smoked it in. The manager did offer to discount our total but I was overall dissatisfied with the company, their willingness to help fix the problem they created by not having my booked car and the over arching fact that one location can not talk to another to check availability. I felt like a dog chasing their tail when I should have been enjoying my vacation. If I could leave zero stars I would.

I'm from Minnesota, and my husband and I always use Enterprise to rent cars from and have always been very satisfied. We were disappointed in the condition of the car we rented in the Ft Lauderdale airport. They just brought up the Buick SUV and tossed us the keys. They did not go over with us the existing damages on the car. It was very dark in the garage, and my husband took out his cell phone flashlight to look over the exterior there were some scratches and a small dent, that we asked about when exiting the ramp, and a completely different person said, "oh yeah, we know about those." After a few minutes out on the road, we noticed that there was a nickel-sized white paint stain on the passenger seat, also there was only 3/4 of a tank of gas, and one tire was 10 pounds low on air. There was also a notification that the windshield washer fluid was low, and the notification kept popping up about every 3-4 minutes all through the 1700 mile trip back to Minnesota. VERY distracting. The cars should be inspected and prepared better. We've never had a problem with preparation at any other Enterprise rental. We're turning it in up here in Minnesota today, and hoping that the existing damages WERE documented. It would have been more reassuring if they would have pointed it out with us before sending us out.

I had a very disappointing experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car at Fort Lauderdale Airport, to say the least. The vehicle provided had multiple issues: 1. rear window not closing properly 2. faulty seat mechanisms 3. Start-Stop system behaving abnormally But the most concerning part was discovering a cannabis cigarette inside the car, behind the driver’s seat, after noticing a strange smell. When returning the vehicle, the staff member acknowledged the issue, apologized, and offered a complimentary rental day. I was told I would receive a follow-up email — which never happened. After multiple attempts to contact Enterprise (including emails and escalation to senior contacts), I received no response. Even worse, when I contacted support again (after multiple chats), I was told that the branch manager said: - no compensation had ever been offered - no issues had been reported with the vehicle This directly contradicts what happened in person. I come from a country where, fortunately, words still matters most than contracts and therefore, the simple fact the employee told me that, I didn't even registered his name because that was enough for me to believe him. The lack of accountability and complete absence of follow-up is extremely disappointing. What started as a bad rental experience became even worse due to how it was handled afterward. Never ever again I will rent a car with either Enterprise, Alamo or National.

I will NEVER use Enterprise again!! For the past 6 years I have spent about $8,000 a year with them and my experience for 4 days last week was absolutely brutal. My jeep rental was towed Sunday 3/22 as I unknowingly was in a no parking spot in Miami. After learning the tow-yard location and the fact that by Florida law I could not retrieve the vehicle (the rental car company must retrieve it) I frantically called Enterprise customer service, Enterprise roadside assistance, and Enterprise locations at both Miami airport and West Palm airport (where I rented the jeep from). NOBODY could help me. In the meantime, I filled out numerous "Lost Items reports" as in the jeep were keys to my condo, a brand new pair of shatterproof sunglasses ($200), a favorite 2025 US Open hat and a cable for a phone charge. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - still NOBODY COULD HELP ME!!! Finally Thursday I learned the Enterprise at Miami airport had retrieved the car - then a few days later I was informed that the keys were found.....ONLY THE KEYS. Gee, I wonder how my sunglasses and hat got up and walked out of the jeep. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RENT FROM ENTERPRISE!!!!!!!
