  - Arrived at midnight, waited at terminal for about 30 minutes for shuttle bus to rental car center. - about 20 cars waiting to exit the parking lot with only one window open. So waited about 30 minutes after we picked our car before exiting the lot. + pretty good executive selection here, wrangler rubicon, gladiator, Mazda mx5, minivan, ram 1500, Kia Santa fea etc.

  Rented on the app ahead of time. Walked right into the parking lot and talked to the attendant, he brought the vehicle to us. Easiest rental I've ever gotten.

  Our flight was delayed 3 hours from MI so I called National before leaving MI to make sure someone would still be in ft Lauderdale when we landed. The customer service rep assured me that someone would be available until 3am. We landed at 130am and we had a toddler with us, so our rental included a carseat and when we got to the rental car place, the person at the counter said we're closed and walked away. I called another customer service rep who told me to go to another rental car place. All were closed. Now we had no car and no carseat. We had to Uber to our hotel without a carseat and go back in the morning to get the car. Bad first night of vacation.

  Today I wanted to have an exchange of my vehicle so that I could have a feature that I wanted turned on to have XM Sirius satellite radio. Pamela at National rental cars in Ft Lauderdale Florida airport was superb. She went beyond the pale to help me with my concern even after I had left with negative news that I would not be able to have the feature that I wanted. She called me back on the phone saying that she had arranged a vehicle for me of the exact same type of Jeep Rubicon that would have the radio feature that I wanted. Most people in customer service wouldn't care about the customer that they interacted with to the level that Pamela did. I am a sales manager at a major OEM manufacturer of equipment for US Navy ships and my business takes me all over the country from San Diego my home. In this day and age it's very hard to find somebody like Pamela and I hope that she is rewarded by her managers at National rental car! She truly deserves to be promoted to a position that trains other employees new and existing on how to give superb customer service. Thank you Pamela! You are extraordinary. Kevin M. RA# 475001895

  Rented a car with the option to pick Mid- Suv or better. Got a car and asked a reprezentative if i can swap it for another car like standard SUV which she told me she will put a request and someone will call me shortly. Girl Agent call me and told me yes when you get to the location someone will help you and give you a standard SUV. I go to the airport and guess what... Older chubby guy tells me no you cant get Standard Suv we dont have them just pick something from the isle which contained few sedans and 2 compact Chevy Trailblazers. I asked him couple of times and he says no you only paid for this and i cant help you with anything else so you have to pick one of this cars. Mind you they already took my first car so i couldn't even take that car and in the end i got downgradet instead of getting a car at least like the first that i picked. I was in a rush so i took the Chevy Trailblazer and on my way i called National again. Another representative answered and i told them about my problem that i was denied my SUV from the guy on the parking lot and she told me if thats the case she will put emergency request to change my car at another airport free of charge and she assured me that 100% i will get my SUV there and that another agent will call me shortly because it's emergency so i dont pass another airport on my way and spend my whole day going from airport to airport swaping cars. Few hours passed no one called me so i decided to call again someone to check what's happening with my request. Another representative answered (third one) and she tells me yeah your request is approved so you can go and make the swap for your SUV and someone will wait for you with your SUV. I get at Sarasota Airport told the guy about my swap and he sends me to the booth where there was 2-3 people talking inside while i wait on the rain. After couple of minutes they decide that someone should help i guess and they open one window. I explain my situation and the lady says i dont have SUV for you they are only upgrades. I told her that i paid for the option to rent one and she tells me "well i dont have enought for my customers so why should i give you one" and i said well on the parking lot i can see more than 30 SUV's parked and she brushed me off and tells me if i want anything i can get only Nissan Sentra (sedan). They again took my car so i had to accept the Nissan Sentra again downgraded with no help. So i called again National explained my situation/problem again... This lady now tells me she can only file a report to management about my problem and tells me goodbye. Hours passed no call from management for solution or compensation. Definitely wont be renting again because it's definitely the worst car rental agency with their customer support
