Had a flat tire and subsequent unusable vehicle after the tire change. Road side assistance was quick to get it towed and to get me an Uber to the closest Enterprise location for a switchout the next morning. Upon arrival there, they never heard of me and had zero available vehicles. Gentlemen there said that they do it to him all the time and he’s complained about it but nothing is ever done. Roadside assistance then told me that I had to Uber the two hours back to the airport, pick up a comparable vehicle and then drive myself back the 2+ hours in New Years Eve traffic. My quick and easy switch turned into a 8 hour ordeal and a completely wasted vacation day but they were kind enough to offer me a coupon for a free day on my next rental, doubt that next rental with Enterprise will ever happen

As a former Enterprise employee, it’s disappointing to say this was a subpar experience. The first issue started immediately upon arrival at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport location. There were simply not enough team members available to assist customers. While kiosks were available, they are unusable for one-way rentals, which defeats the purpose when staffing is already stretched thin. The on-duty manager, Alberto, was unfortunately not very helpful in resolving the situation. When I finally reached the front of the Plus line after waiting quite some time, Raul—who was assisting the customer ahead of me—stated that once he finished, he was done for the day because he had been there since 4:30 a.m. Out of frustration, I said, “Are you kidding?” His response was, “No, I’m Raul.” While I understand long shifts happen, that response came across as unprofessional, especially given the circumstances and the extended wait. I then had to get back into another line just to attempt to pick up my vehicle. Once the paperwork was completed, I selected a Jeep Compass (the only vehicle available in the car class I reserved; airports normally get priority with getting vehicles from surrounding branches, so I didn't understand why more options weren't available). Being familiar with the Stellantis brand and its reliability concerns, I opted for the Roadside Assistance at $5.99 per day, which I was happy to pay. That part of the process was quick, easy, and reasonably priced to have added after the initial paperwork was drafted. Unfortunately, the return experience was even more frustrating. We were scheduled to return the vehicle to a local satellite branch in Miami and called ahead to advise we would be approximately ten minutes late. No one answered the phone on the first call. On the second attempt, someone picked up and immediately hung up. Despite the branch being listed as open until 1:00 p.m., we were unable to get in touch with anyone or confirm the return prior to them closing. As a result, we had to drive to MIA to return the vehicle. Upon arrival at the Rental Car Center, Jackie assisted us—and she was the highlight of this entire experience. Jackie was courteous, efficient, waived the higher drop fee due to the inconvenience, and clearly directed us to the correct area to return to the airport. Her professionalism truly stood out. Back when I worked at airport and auto park branches, an experience like this would have negatively impacted ESQi scores without question. While I’ve historically been loyal to Enterprise, this experience makes me question how much ERAC has changed over the years. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken at face value and that I’m not asked to use a website link to provide additional information, as everything has already been clearly outlined here.

I've used a few different car rental companies over the past several months, and my experience with Enterprise in Ft. Lauderdale was the best. Yes, there is always a line at the counter, but this counter actually had more than one person working, and the employees were efficient. The location was very convenient—at the airport—even though all the information I received said that we would need to take a shuttle to pick up the car. I reserved an SUV to fit at least five people with luggage, and we were given a Jeep Wagoneer. The car was so comfortable and clean, and it got good gas mileage. Upon our return, there were employees waiting to check us out who were very friendly and helpful. Overall, a great experience!

Thanks to Andy for helping me with my return. It was a smooth transaction when I returned the vehicle. Also, I was formed by the agent who checked the vehicle out more information I forgot about. So thanks to everyone who assisted me leaving and returning. The only thing I wish is that some of these customers who smoke, would STOP doing it in the rental car. It’s NOT your personal vehicle and others have to rent the vehicle after you. There are stickers that tells you NO SMOKING and yet you still do it with your disrespectful self. That was the only disappointment I had with the rental vehicle.

I went with enterprise because it’s the most legit car rental company in the area and I have used them before and have had no issues, and I will use them again in the future. However for this particular rental, the website was incorrect in stating that after hours drop offs are available for this location. My flight left early in the morning so I thought I could drop it off before they opened at 5 AM according to the website, however that was incorrect. I had to drop it off the night before, and waste my time taking an uber back to my hotel so I could get a couple hours of sleep just to wake up and Uber back to the airport, when it could have been more convenient if the website hadn’t been incorrect with the information and I would’ve been better prepared. The website needs to be fixed.
