  I want to recognize the exceptional service we received at the Alamo location at Fort Lauderdale Airport. My wife and I were traveling with our two young children and my parents, and to make things more challenging, both my wife and I were sick with the flu and barely able to manage the trip. During this stressful situation, my wife accidentally left her iPhone in the rental car after returning it. By the time we realized and went back, the car had already been taken. At that point, two Alamo employees, Brian and Rodney, stepped in and spent the next 15 minutes actively helping us track down the phone. They took it upon themselves to stop their own work and to help, even walking to the level below to personally get the phone and hand deliver it to my wife. Their professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond made a huge difference for our family during a very difficult moment. What stood out even more was that when we tried to thank one of them with a tip, they politely refused. That level of care and customer focus is rare. These employees represented Alamo exceptionally well, and I hope they receive the recognition they deserve.

  Was initially misinformed on the process,was kind of worried since we were flying so far away from home,that we weren't gonna get the rental for some reason.was told we didnt need to use our personal auto insurance for the car,that it was already covered with insurance,but we had to purchase insurance for a fee,which should automatically be included in the price of the rental,(my opinion),but representative at the desk was nice.and car was nice,and cheap operated,sobwe took care of it,like it was our own,and washed it,and vacuumed it,and armor all it.Thanks for the Rental,will rent again,hopefully soon.THANKS MR,MRS HARVEY MCcULLOUGH

  Do NOT recommend. Take note our family booked this months ago. We decided to take carry ons to avoid any waits for luggage and have the ability to get on out to the van as soon as we can. Got out, strike one was the pre-paid QR scan didnt work (for anyone) so the line to check in was long. Once we got through, strike two - no vans available. You would laugh when you read the paper they give you. ‘Walk out the door and select your vehicle’. So I ask how long do you think? “I’m not sure - so many vans / premiums were taken today”. Thanks for the help there. How about you don’t overbook… So I figured since I’ve been waiting with my toddlers for an hour, still waiting, I’d leave you a friendly review saying your service is just awful. We can count that as strike 3. Do better.

  Rented the 15 passenger van in Ft. Lauderdale. The check-in went very smoothly and service was great. Picked up the vehicle in great condition. During our 8 day rental, the van performed without a hitch. Our trip included Miami, Key West, Everglades, etc. My previous rental with Avis was a 8 passenger van in Maui which went terrible. The Maui rental was for 2 weeks, returned the vehicle with all trash cleaned out, just some sand from foot traffic (less than i cup max). When I returned the vehicle, the inspector stated all good. Later I received notification from Avis that the vehicle was excessively dirty interior. They tried to charge me $ for cleaning service. I eventually got out of the charge, but with extreme frustration. Be aware of Avis's tactic. I will never rent from Avis again. Alamo is absolutely great, as expected. No hidden surprises.   We updated our reservation with our flight information . Our flight got delayed by a little over an hour. When my husband arrived at the counter at 12:38 am he found out that you were out of cars. Even though we had paid for our reservation in full 6 weeks prior. He was told to take an Uber to our hotel and then back to the airport between 9 and 10 am in hopes that some cars had been returned. He was told that we would be reimbursed for the Iber charges ($98 in total) The next morning we get back to the airport and had to argue to get a tank of gas for free and an upgrade as we were told that you do not reimburse for Priceline reservations and paying them in full is not paying in full. We agreed to this as at this we had already missed our family reunion that we were supposed to go to and still needed a vehicle to continue with our other plans. Extremely disappointing service considering you knew the reservation was already paid for even if it was through Priceline. It was guaranteed money.
