- MKMarilyn K4 days ago1.0Store #7713 : I Went in at 5:30pm on March 8, 2025. 2 females running the store . One associate was in the back clunking around… one was at the counter assisting a customer, when she finished I stepped forward just as I began to speak, the phone rang and she picked it up and started helping the caller. Taken aback at this I stepped back from her, as I did, the second associate came out of the back and wiggled her index finger to come down to the other terminal. She placed her hands on the keyboard. looking at her I said “I’m looking for front turn signal bulbs for my 2000 VW Beetle 2 .0 “ before I could finish my sentence her phone rang, picking up the phone she cheerfully greeted the caller and ignored my request…. At this point I walked out and I will not return.

Como no llevé mi auto en ese momento, me llevé la batería para instalarla, pero no fue posible. Regresé a la tienda para que me ayudaran con la instalación y un empleado —lamentablemente no tomé su nombre, solo recuerdo que era un joven alto y delgado— me preguntó qué necesitaba. Le expliqué la situación y me respondió que debía esperar porque otro cliente tenía la herramienta necesaria para instalar la batería. Le pregunté por Alejandra y me dijo que estaba en la tienda, pero nunca le avisó. Me pareció poco eficiente, ya que esperé alrededor de 15 minutos, lo cual fue incómodo. Considero que, siendo una tienda de auto parts, deberían contar con más de una herramienta para este tipo de servicios. En ese momento, Alejandra salió a atender a otro cliente y se sorprendió al verme nuevamente en la tienda. Le expliqué lo ocurrido y de inmediato me ayudó. Eso sí fue un excelente servicio. Personas como ella, que conocen bien su trabajo, lo hacen con calma y eficiencia son las que mantienen los clientes y dan buena imagen. Ella de inmediato instaló mi nueva batería. ¡Gracias, Alejandra, por tu Excelente Servicio! La Mejor👍

Yes we do offer free battery installation on most products with purchase. We will also recycle and test your battery for free regardless if you bought it from us. Battery testing and installation is available at most of our locations.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
