The staff at this particular location are the greatest! They are the most friendly and inviting staff at auto repair shop I’ve come across. Also, they always give you the best price, without trying to nickel and dime you for every little thing. More importantly they care about their customers and the work they perform. I highly recommend Tuffy’s at 1648 US Highway 27, Clermont, FL 34714.
I had an excellent experience at Tuffy. I thought I needed breaks and they honestly said I didn’t need it. Other places would have taken advantage and changed all the breaks and rotors and called it a day. Super honest guys. I highly recommend.

I have been coming to this Tuffy for 18 years and it’s always been expensive but at the least it was clean and if they said it was going to be whatever amount that’s what it was… unfortunately this last time I came will be my last time, they changed the date without telling me after they gave me a date and I already had a rental, the cost went from 2,800 to 3,400 and that’s fine I understand that sometimes you can’t see all that needs to be repair until after you take all the parts out, but if you know that’s the case do not give a price until you actually take all the parts out, they left my car filthy with oil everywhere and I mean everywhere, why should there be oil on the back bumper and windshield and all over the hood? When I mentioned how dirty the car was the response was nonchalant and unprofessional, I really thought that after being a client for 18 years and THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS SPEND ON THAT SHOP THEY WOULD DO BETTER. AND TO TOP IT ALL THE CAR GAVE ME THE SAME CODE IT WAS SHOWING WHEN THE TOW TRUCK DROPPED THE CAR. It is Easter Sunday and now I have a car that I shouldn’t be driving after I paid 3,444 dollars to get the car repaired and still showing the same code 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ very disappointed on the job done this time around and I hope they can fix it somehow.

I brought my Ford Transit 250 in for transmission service (speed sensor replacement and transmission pan work). My husband and I are both disabled and currently living out of our van, so this repair was extremely important for us.
We were initially quoted around $3,000, and because we had to leave the van with them, we were forced to pay for a hotel for 3 days, which we could not afford. The very next day after leaving the van, they called us and said the cost would increase by an additional $800 and began pushing us to replace the entire transmission, claiming it was “burnt out.”
After pushing back and insisting on only doing the original repair we requested, they finally completed the job.
However, after picking up the van, it only worked for about 2 days before a completely new issue started that was not present before. The van began throwing code P0657 (electrical circuit issue), along with thumping and drivability problems.
We returned to the shop and spent hours there, only to be told that they “don’t do electrical work” and that they could not help us, even though this problem started immediately after their repair.
We then took the van to Ford, where we were told there is no issue with the transmission or pump, and that the problem is electrical/wiring related.
When someone called on my behalf to speak with them, the staff became nervous, avoided answering questions directly, and shifted blame instead of taking responsibility.
Since then, I have sent multiple emails and received no response.
At this point, we are left in an extremely difficult situation with a van that developed a new problem immediately after their service, no accountability, and no support.
I strongly recommend being very cautious, getting everything in writing, and understanding that if something goes wrong after service, you may be left to deal with it on your own.

I never leave bad reviews, but after our experience yesterday I have to, to warn others… I had an appointment yesterday at 2pm for an alignment on my husbands truck. We made the appointment over the phone on Saturday because they were running a great deal. I drove an HOUR to this location for the deal, with two babies. I got there at 1:55 and checked in for my appointment, I gave my husband’s name and the guy at the desk was able to pull up our appointment and see that it was for an alignment. I asked him if he had an estimate on how long it would be, so he went over to the garage and asked for me. He came back and told me that their alignment machine was DOWN so they would not be able to do the alignment, but that the repair man was there working on it so we could reschedule for tomorrow. I can not believe that they knew the machine was down, but didn’t think to call their alignment appointments for the day to let them know and reschedule before they drive there. (ESPECIALLY since we drove so far, this was extra frustrating) I rescheduled for the next day and called my husband, he was upset to hear this of course, so he called them to see if they would maybe offer an additional discount due to the major inconvenience THEY caused. This is where it gets worse if you can believe it!! They told my husband that the reason they didn’t call was because they didn’t have my appointment in the system!! Which is a COMPLETE lie because they pulled up my appointment when I got there and told me what service I was there for. I can’t believe they would lie about that rather than just apologizing and saying “You know what, yes you’re right, we should have called you to reschedule.” And on TOP of this they told my husband that the machine wasn’t down, but just running slow and I could have chosen to wait there it just would have been a while… I’m in disbelief! If that was the case, why would the front desk guy tell me not only that it was down, but that there was a repair man there working on it!? It felt like they were trying to turn it around on me saying I could have stayed and waited if I wanted to but chose not to. Definitely not the case. They told me it was BROKEN, not “backed up”… We did plan to return to our appointment today, but ended up canceling even though they had the best deal, we don’t want to give our money or business to this location. If they are willing to lie over something like this, how can we trust them to be honest about our truck??
