- CGCharlie GuyMar 27, 20265.0I bought a battery from Advanced Auto Parts (AAP) on US 19, Palm Harbor about a year and half ago and it was in a car that was not driven. The battery was drained and became unchargeable. I returned with the battery to AAP. I did not have a receipt, but they could tell it was still under warranty. A search of computer records could not find the purchase. After a while, Junior brought out a new battery, rang it up and handed me the receipt. I looked at it and the balance due was $0.00. I said I was expecting to pay with no receipt. He said the battery was under warranty and it was right to replace it. If you want an honest and ethical business this is place to take your business.

They have previously checked my 'idiot lights' notifications on my dashboard. I went to the store early Saturday morning. The store associate, Cliff, greeted me w/ a smile as usual. Offered to help me. He was happy to install both wiperblades, and the rear also. Cliff mentioned the great warranty ($3 replacement within 1 year, defective not required). I highly recommend this company.

Yes we do offer free battery installation on most products with purchase. We will also recycle and test your battery for free regardless if you bought it from us. Battery testing and installation is available at most of our locations.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
