I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent rental experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car following an accident while my personal vehicle was being repaired.
Upon arriving at the branch, I witnessed extremely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from an employee toward another customer. The employee was berating a disabled woman over a small amount of dog hair left by her service animal. He mocked her, laughed at her, and treated her with blatant disrespect. It was uncomfortable and embarrassing to witness.
When it was my turn, the rental process was rushed. The employee walked around the vehicle briefly, tapped the tires, and instructed me to sign without conducting a thorough inspection or reviewing the vehicle’s condition with me.
I had the vehicle for three days. Per instructions, I returned it to the mechanic/body shop where my personal vehicle was being repaired, as I was told Enterprise would retrieve it within 24 hours. I received no communication within that timeframe.
The next contact I received was a voicemail stating that the rental vehicle had been in an accident and that a claim would be filed against me. No details were provided.
When I contacted the body shop, they informed me that the parking lot was small and that the incident was their fault. They explicitly stated they would cover 100% of the repair costs.
When I contacted the Enterprise location to explain this, I spoke with an employee named Zachary. He repeatedly interrupted me, spoke over me, mocked me, and refused to listen to the information that the body shop had accepted full responsibility. Despite being informed that the damages would be covered at no cost to Enterprise, they insisted on filing an insurance claim against me.
This entire experience has been unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessarily adversarial. I have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and have now received notice from my insurance company that a claim has been filed.
I am requesting:
Immediate review of this claim.
Direct communication between Enterprise and the body shop accepting liability.
Removal of any claim filed against my insurance.
A formal investigation into the conduct of the employees involved.
I am extremely disappointed by the handling of this situation and the level of customer service provided.

I paid over $2,300 and was treated like a criminal instead of a paying customer. From start to finish, there was zero empathy, zero professionalism, and absolutely no effort to understand my situation. It was clear that the only thing that mattered to them was collecting money — not customer service, not fairness, and definitely not respect.
Being spoken to and handled this way after paying such a large amount is unacceptable. I will be posting my full bill so people can see exactly what I was charged and decide for themselves.
I will NEVER rent from Enterprise again. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I strongly recommend others think twice before doing business here.

I had made a reservation over a month previously for a Monday 9:30 am pick up. I’ve know previously that Monday mornings are their busiest, so I showed up about 10 minutes early but was notified at the counter that they didn’t have not just my car class, but any cars at all available for my reservation. The counter person was not helpful and stated they turned away five other customers that morning as “the Pirates were in town.”
I rent from this same location about 5-6 times yearly for work. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences up until this point. This was only the second time getting a reservation cancelled by Enterprise within two years, but the previous time I was notified with a phone call first before getting all the way to their office. This wasted extra time I needed preparing for a long trip.
Their corporate customer service line was also not helpful, as they were not able to locate any other vehicles in the area or help with arranging alternatives. They could only tell me to “please be patient and wait for a vehicle return,” which they couldn’t guarantee that I would even get a vehicle. Their idea of trying to resolve the situation was to issue 1500 points, but I didn’t want the points or a free rental, just a vehicle.
In the end, I made alternate arrangements for my travel. But I was fortunate in that I was traveling for work and had an expense card to cover additional expenses. I imagine not everyone is able to pay extra for alternatives. I never heard back from either the corporate rep or this local branch to follow up with my original reservation.
Between the lack of concern, inability to communicate, and ultimately a failure to honor their business commitment at both the local and corporate level, I’ve lost trust in their ability to deliver for me as a longstanding customer. I did nothing wrong as a customer and while frustrated, did not speak with disrespect or contempt with any of their staff.
When reserving a rental car with this location or Enterprise in general, buyer beware and know that there may be a chance they do not follow through and will leave you stranded with your travel plans.

The employees at this branch really did go above and beyond for me on such short notice. Needed a rental through my insurance as my car is at the dealership being repaired. They were extremely busy with no rentals available and were able to find a mini van last minute as my only option so I took it. After taking it home it’s much larger than I am used to driving and I felt pretty uncomfortable driving around what I referred to as a boat. I am not sure how long I will need this rental so I went back today in hopes they could exchange for something smaller. Again, they were very busy with limited options. I believe her name what Rhea or Rae (I’m so sorry if I have this wrong) was beyond helpful and set me up with a Tucson that had just arrived and needed to be cleaned. She asked me if I wouldn’t mind waiting for it and I said absolutely! Dylan was having fun and was so nice and accommodating to any customer that walked in after me and on the phone. Another gentlemen helped me by showing me the Tucson and I heard Dylan refer to him at Boss (not sure of his name), he was also a huge huge help! Everyone I dealt with today was so understanding and made me feel better about asking to transfer vehicles. I appreciate their time and diligence very very much! They were all wonderful! Thanks again for everything!!!!
