  On 3/26/26 I went to the AutoZone on Manatee Ave. to buy another quart of synthetic oil for my 2020 VW Passat. For over 1 year I have had to add a quart of oil. I made VW aware of my concern and was told that this was normal. NO it is not!! Jason asked me if there was anything he could do to assist. I then proceeded to discuss with him, Jason and Alexus what was going on with my car. After Jason added the quart of oil, I then immediately made an appt. with VW for service. Jason went onto the VW website and confirmed that is is not normal for this car to be burning oil while not even driving it 500 miles per month. The appt. was 3/31/26. Between 3/26/26 to 3/31/26, my car burned 1/2 quart. I picked up my car today, 4/1/26 after the following items were replaced, removed and or installed. 1. Oil separator remove +install 2. (1) BK Separator (6) bolts (1) A Gasket (2) C Gaskets (2) B Seal Rings (6) 09 Bolts Cover-remove+install Chain Housing Cover Seal The technician inspected the line from the oil separator to the intake pipe and found it to be soiled with oil, determined crankcase breather/oil separator to be faulty causing increased crankcase pressure. NOTE-there were other items that were replaced. I am grateful for the Sevice Technician at VW who also went the extra mile. THANK you to Jason for researching for me and for both he and Alexus in caring what is taking place with their customers. If I would not have had a CPO warranty this job repair could have cost me $2k-$4k. I met Daniel Etheridge today at AutoZone when I went by to personally THANK Jason and Alexus. Please acknowledge and recognize these 2 employees for going above and beyond. There are people in the workforce who truly like what they are doing and I am so fortunate to have met them both.   I had my battery tested at Autozone today. Dan was extremely professional, patient and efficient. He took his time to do a diagnosis on a battery that was extremely difficult to get to. I will be going to that Autozone with no hesitation from now on!

  My daughter and I had to visit this Autozone today because there was something wrong with my car. Jason listened to what I explained was happening and then immediately went to check my car out. He thoroughly checked and discovered that I was low on coolant. He got the coolant I needed and filled it up. I was worried about driving the car home and he hooked up his mini computer and saw there was only a code for the coolant and nothing else. So we were able to drive home, 2 hours away, knowing the car was safe. Jason did an excellent job and I truly thank him for helping us out. He saved the day! Great AutoZone locations.
