I want to share my heartfelt appreciation for Elias Gaitan at the Boynton Beach AutoZone on Boynton Beach Blvd. On the night of October 26, I experienced a very frightening situation during a heavy rainstorm. Another driver sped through a huge puddle, causing a forceful splash that knocked my windshield wipers completely off. Suddenly, I could not see anything in the pouring rain. It was terrifying. I was shaking, panicking, and trying to safely pull over so I wouldn’t cause or be part of an accident. When I called AutoZone in desperation to ask about replacement wipers, Elias answered. After hearing what happened, he didn't just treat it like a regular call. He listened, showed real empathy, and immediately stepped in to help. Because the store couldn’t take payment over the phone and rides were extremely expensive due to the storm, Elias took it upon himself to purchase the wipers for me so that I could pay him back when I arrived. He didn’t stop there — after closing the store, he personally drove through the heavy rain to meet me where I was parked and installed the wipers on my car. His kindness, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond truly made a difference in a very stressful situation. It is rare to find customer service like this today. Elias showed professionalism, genuine care, and hero level service. AutoZone is incredibly fortunate to have him as part of their team. I am extremely grateful, and he deserves to be recognized.
