- CBChrister BillingerFeb 2, 20261.0One of the worst experiences I have ever had in an auto parts store! This is for the location in in Boca Greens close to Yamato of 441. I went there to get my battery checked but was met with nothing but angry faces and I felt like I was imposing. The associate that tested my battery was more busy attending to a phone call than with me and when he finally helped me. He was angry and seemed like he did not want to be there.... I wanted told him inside the store that I wanted to see how many volts my battery was receiving from the alternator to determine if it was a battery issue or an alternator issue. He didn't seem to understand what I was talking about until later and when he helped me I seemed bothered. Stay away from this place, go to the one further south, Close to Palmetto Park Road instead.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
