I had a great experience working with Myron at Smith Volkswagen! I was shopping for a 2026 Atlas Cross Sport, and he was incredibly kind and laid back, which made the whole process feel comfortable and stress-free. He took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and never made me feel pressured. Everything moved quickly and smoothly, and he made the entire car-buying experience easy from start to finish. I am truly satisfied and appreciate his professionalism and would definitely recommend asking for Myron if you’re shopping for a vehicle!

Update:
I was ultimately able to get this resolved, but no thanks to Smith Volkswagen.
It took 30 days of calling multiple entities within Volkswagen and the dealership, repeatedly explaining the same situation. Smith Volkswagen stated they were trying to “resolve” the issue, but they were getting nowhere, claimed they had no real point of contact to fix it, and continued to maintain that it was not their fault.
Today, I called Volkswagen Financial directly and specifically requested a supervisor. That was the first time I reached someone who could actually help. After I explained everything, they told me that if I sent them the check the dealer had issued, they would settle the remaining balance. They reiterated that this was a dealer issue, but to prevent further stress, late fees, or potential credit damage, they agreed to settle the balance as a courtesy.
I contacted Smith Volkswagen the same day and essentially begged them to take similar action to prevent the situation from escalating. They said they would “wait on Volkswagen” and were not willing to proactively resolve the issue before I risked a late fee, despite this situation being no fault of my own.
While I’m relieved it’s finally resolved, it should never have required this level of persistence or put my credit at risk in the first place.

My experience with Smith Volkswagen has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
I was in a lease on a 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 and negotiated a deal where the dealership agreed to buy out my lease and finance me into a new vehicle. I was explicitly told I would NOT be responsible for any over-mileage or additional lease charges. The agreement was clear, they would pay off the lease.
After the deal was completed, I received the final lease bill from Volkswagen Financial, and it was approximately $1,400 MORE than the check the dealership provided. That means the lease was not paid off as promised, and I was left with the difference.
Since January 19th, I have been stuck in constant back-and-forth between:
• Smith Volkswagen, who claims this is a “system issue” and says Volkswagen Financial needs to amend the bill. They repeatedly say they are “fighting for me,” yet the bill remains unpaid and unresolved 30 days after raising the issue.
• Volkswagen Financial, who says the option the dealer selected at lease turn-in makes me responsible.
• Volkswagen Customer Care, who directs me back to Volkswagen Financial.
Every party points the finger at someone else. Meanwhile, I’m the one facing late fees and potential credit damage.
The bill was due February 11th. If it is not corrected, I incur late fees, and shortly after that it could negatively impact my credit. While the dealership insists it’s “not their fault” and that they’re advocating on my behalf, there has been no resolution and no urgency to actually make this right. Just that we have to wait for Volkswagen to get back to us.
If a dealership tells a customer they will pay off a lease and that the customer will NOT be responsible for additional charges, that commitment should be honored, regardless of internal system issues or corporate processes.
Instead, I’ve been left with a $1,400 bill and weeks of runaround. That is not how customers should be treated.

Met with Mike Eller yesterday and fully toured an Atlas — hands down Mike was amazing, was upfront, got right into features, lifestyle, and needs before even talking price or anything else — really focused on the why and delivering the how. Mike was easy to work with, informative, and honest — he and his team's flexibility and customer focus made us feel at ease and honestly looked after in terms of fitting a car to our needs, not pricing us out or conditioning against other factors. 10/10 would recommend Mike and Smith to anyone — family owned, honest folks, and really down to earth — what a refresher!
We recently purchased a vehicle from this Volkswagen dealership, and the experience was extremely disappointing.
From the beginning, pricing was not transparent. We were never clearly shown the full out-of-pocket price upfront. After spending nearly four hours at the dealership, we were presented with numbers that we had not agreed to. The final price was significantly higher than what was verbally discussed, and once all additional charges were included, the vehicle felt substantially overpriced compared to similar vehicles we have purchased from other dealerships.
Several unexpected charges were added, including administrative fees, dealer preparation fees, accessories, and other add-ons that were never clearly explained or agreed upon. We have purchased vehicles from other dealerships before and have never encountered this level of added fees or lack of transparency.
Our sales representative, Mike Eller, did not clearly communicate the final vehicle price or the warranty cost. Instead, he repeatedly left to speak with the finance manager and returned without direct answers. We were told that if the vehicle price matched what we discussed and certain issues were addressed, we would move forward. However, after hours of waiting, there was still no clear communication or confirmation.
When we raised concerns, the finance manager was dismissive rather than helpful. The entire process felt unprofessional and lacking transparency.
Earlier this year, we purchased another vehicle from a different dealership, and the experience was respectful, clear, and straightforward. Unfortunately, this dealership was the opposite.
Based on our experience, we will not return and cannot recommend this dealership to others.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Smith Volkswagen, particularly with their service department.
I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport from Smith Volkswagen five years ago. The vehicle had only 48 miles on it at the time of purchase, so I essentially consider it new.
In 2024, I brought my vehicle in because the heat stopped working and was told the heater core needed to be replaced, which they did. Fast forward to today, I’m experiencing the exact same issue; no heat. I brought the vehicle back in and was once again told that the heater core needs to be replaced, this time at a cost of $1,100.
After doing my own research, I discovered that heater core failure is a known issue with this make and model, which was also acknowledged by the service technician. Despite this being a repeat issue and despite the fact that this same repair was done just two years ago. I was told there is nothing they can do other than waive the $209 diagnostic fee.
The most frustrating part is that the part itself costs less than $100, yet I’m being asked to cover the full labor cost. This raises serious questions:
How do I know the heater core was properly replaced two years ago?
Why is a known defect and repeat failure being treated as normal wear and tear?
Why is the customer absorbing the cost of a recurring issue tied to a known design problem?
I’m not someone who leaves negative reviews, but this situation feels unfair and unacceptable. I expected better transparency, accountability, and customer care, especially for a certified vehicle purchased from this dealership.
At this point, I would not recommend Smith Volkswagen based on my experience.
