  On 12/21 - Sunday right before Christmas we had major brake issues - Ryan and William we were great - had the brake issues analyzed and two options for us of what to do with pricing - we choose the second option and even running into a few issues they were great, communicating and had us back on the road the same day - on a Sunday when most places in Middletown are closed - one of the best experiences we have had in a long time with automotive places in town!!!

  William is a gem! So friendly and accommodating. He was SUPER busy but still treated each person as though they were the only customer in the store. He is the last of those who truly know what kindness means in a place of business. Extremely wonderful customer service. The others didn’t talk much but no one was mean or nasty and that means a lot. Thank you soooo much!!!! As a single mom, spending over $1,000 on brakes unexpectedly was not an ideal situation. William was super transparent with the price and accepted my coupon happily!! I’ll always come here for my car repair needs.

  While the wait for my tires was longer than anticipated, I want to give a big shout-out to William. He was kind, attentive, and genuinely apologetic about the delay. His professionalism and customer care made a big difference, and it’s clear he truly values customers.

  Purchased 4 Bf goodrich 35x12.5x r 18 for $2000 on 5/25. Additionally had 2 front hubs replaced for another $1400. Tires shake at 50 mph when picked up at Middletown De store. Returned to the store and they said nothing could be done. Called customer service and spoke with the Regional Manager; after 2 days called back and said come back and we will rebalance them. 2nd trip was not any better. Spoke with Regional again and requested new tires. I never heard from them again. Disputed tire cost on my cc but was denied after 45 days. Requested call, Still no call from corporate.Called again and they said give him 48 hrs. Never heard back from them. Took the truck to Els tire in Delaware. They re balanced at my cost of $153 and they said one of the tires was to far out, they tried to balance but could not. They moved that tire to the rear for less shake. Contacted the Regional again thru customer service no response. Returned today 12/30 /25 for my free tire rotation as part of my original purchase when they sold me them , and to keep my warranty in place. I Scheduled it the online with my truck info and the original purchase information. After waiting in the showroom , I was told my 2016 Ford F250 was too heavy for them to rotate at 9600 lbs. They were able to mount and balance new tires 6 months ago but now it's too heavy...???. Same truck same weight as when I purchased them. Additionally I was told the front hub bearings are guaranteed for life and I have one after 12k mile's going bad. Also they broke the wire clips to harness on the hubs and let it dangling. Another safety issue. Called Mavis Customer service again today with no call back. Still have that shake at 62 mph from the rear tire as well. Safety issues, poor communication, not honoring their guarantees or the lifetime free tire rotation in order to maintain the factory warranty. $3400 spent and still no resolution.

  I chose this Mavis location because it had great Google reviews, but my experience fell short of what I expected. I purchased 4 brand new tires and called this Mavis in Middletown, DE, along with other tire shops in the area, to get quotes on installation and a 4-wheel alignment. I was quoted $220 over the phone at Mavis. When I first pulled up to pick up my car, I noticed two of my four tires were installed backwards. The words "Inside" on the tire sidewall were mounted on the outside of the tire (picture attached). If I didn't notice this, I'm sure my tires would've experienced premature tire wear and drivability issues. After bringing this to the employee's attention, they brought the car back and re-mounted the 2 tires correctly, then they said they were going to “perform” the wheel alignment. When I went to check out, the employee was trying to charge me over $250. I explained to him that I was quoted $220 when I made the appointment. After some back and forth and frustration, he was able to make the total $219.80. I asked the employee for my alignment sheet that shows the before and after of the alignment performed (camber, toe, caster, etc.). I have a maintenance record book for my car, and I wanted to include this alignment sheet in the book for future reference in case I decide to sell the car at a later date. He said the alignment sheet didn't print out. I asked him if he could print it out because I wanted proof that the alignment was performed. He said we don't usually print those out, as he had in his hand an alignment sheet for a different vehicle. I questioned why he had an alignment sheet in his hand. I told him that every time I've had alignments performed in the past, I was always given a copy of the alignment before and after sheet to see what adjustments were made, so I could confirm the work was performed. He told me they were really backed up, and he suggested I would have to come back the next day, and they would have to put the car back on the machine to print out a sheet for me. This Mavis isn't near where I live. I work in Middletown, and I had already used my lunch break and 2 PTO hours to have them perform the tire install and alignment that day. I don't have time to come all the way back to this Mavis to spend more time just to have them put the car back on the rack. The fact that he had someone else's alignment sheet in his hand but couldn't produce my sheet lead me to believe the alignment was never performed. After getting my car back, I also noticed several of my lug nuts were broken (picture attached). I contacted the Mavis corporate office, and they called the store and agreed to refund me for the alignment, but I would have to come into the store to process it. I spent another lunch break at Mavis and when I entered there was so sense of urgency to get me the refund so I could go about my day. I stood there for several minutes before I could even talk to a manager. I spent about 40 minutes in the store for the refund. After finally receiving the refund for the alignment, I never received any sort of apology for the inconvenience and all the time I had to spend both times in the store. I’m curious how many other people are paying for alignments that are never performed.
