Made a reservation through Geico after a crash, and when I get there apparently I need to pay with a card that has my name, so in the end they couldn’t give me a car, awful service.
Would call them the worst rental location in America, but wouldn't want to offend Hertz at Union station who holds the title decisively.
I went to pick up my car. Long line, and a couple ahead of me wasn't getting the car they had reserved. I self checked-in the day before which was pointless and saved no time. Luckily for them, I was offered a bigger car than I wanted so we swapped. Car was dirty outside and clearly hadn't been cleaned inside. The body cladding on the bottom of the driver's door was coming unstuck from the door. The attendant had no time and handed me the keys.
Returned car today (the day after I picked it up). Tried to use the ticket they gave me to get into parking garage, and keep getting "short term parking not available" for the entrance to Enterprise's lot, so go park in Avis' lot and go up the level to get to Enterprise. Go upstairs, turn in keys, attendant says he'll get car, I don't need to go with him, and I'll get a receipt. Tells me I don't need to wait and I'll get a receipt emailed. I get home, have a receipt for amount I expected in my email. Just got a call saying there was damage on the car and what's my insurance. I say the body cladding? Yes. I tell him that was there.
I guess that's why they don't do walk arounds before you take the car like every other rental place. So WARNING to everyone with the misfortune of renting from this place: BEFORE YOU DRIVE OFF, TAKE PICTURES OF THE CAR. Also, when you drop it off, GO WITH THEM TO THE CAR AND DO A WALK AROUND. Every other rental place that I've encountered goes with the person renting the car and makes notes of damage beforehand...that this place doesn't and then pulls this as numerous other reviews have noted is deeply shady. I'm going to fight this, but I shouldn't have to waste my time on it.

Had a car reserved 2 months in advance and were told on the day (christmas eve) that they had no cars. Kept us there for 4 hours promising there would be cars but none arrived. There was about 8 of us as well, nobody got a car. Told us lies about how they expected 35 to return overnight and even told 1 guy he was first in line just to then tell him there are 2 people in front of him 2 hours later! We had to get a Lyft to Charlottesville in the end and hope to get a rental car there. Could have all been handled much better! Perhaps call people before to let them know.
