This morning when leaving the nearby anchorage at Duck Island, I found that my VHF & AIS circuits were dead. Upon calling nearby Pilot’s Point Marina, Tom at the Service Department made space in their schedule for me to come in after lunch. After being courteously accommodated at the dock, their electrical repairman came, evaluated, cut out and replaced a fuse connector to get us up and on our way for a very reasonable fee. Thanks Pilot’s Point!!

What was once an excellent, really well-run service yard, managed by the most conscientious and honest leader in the industry, has descended to a sloppy also-ran where apparently no one cares about the customer or his/her boat. Yes, it's a nice environment - clean, well groomed, etc. - but if you want decent service for your boat, or expect a response to an email or phone call, find somewhere else.
