  Call Enterprise Instead… Horrible experience with Penske at this location. I’ve rented from Penske a couple times when enterprise is out of trucks, enterprise charges around $100 a day for a truck and Penske charges $280… I rented a truck for one day and the total was $877 minus $120 in fuel…. Anyways like I said I rented a few times I had a buisness account with Penske and had locked in rates through there salesman, I hadn’t rented in a while so I was no longer able to use those rates, they weren’t even willing to meet me halfway, told me because of inflation there’s nothing they can do. I picked up the truck at 2:45 Wednesday and told sherwin I would be back closer to 6 the following day on Thursday and I asked if I would be charged a second day and he said no, I also asked Zack when I made the reservation over the phone that I would be back 3 hours late and he said not to worry about it. (All calls are recorded) so if they actually cared they would go back and listen to that call and confirm I’m right, you would think they would considering I have rented from this branch many times that’s building a relationship right? Nope… Returned the truck at 5:15 next day and saw they charged me to the following morning charging me a 2 day rental which they said they wouldn’t do. This means your taxes and fees are doubled, the insurance is doubled. Called back and the lady was very rude and denied that anyone said a 3 hour late return was ok and then threatened to put me on do not rent. When I asked her why she said “because I can”… the whole process was rushed, everyone at this branch will lie to you, things will not be explained fairly to you. Do yourself a favor and go establish a relationship with enterprise truck rental if you are going to be renting a personal moving truck. You’ll save a lot of money, customer service is much better, and they are more flexible, trust me this is coming from 4 years expirence on both buisness and personal rentals

  I use Penske a lot. This was my first time at the West Haven location, but I must say they provided excellent customer service at both the fueling station and at rental department. It is one of the larger locations and though everyone seem to be on a mission, they all were still very friendly. Great job to the team that was working on 5/15/19. You guys are awesome.
