  Don’t come here for tires, 2 stars since they were able to replace them same day, but brand new rims were gouged up to the point we had to go through insurance, and alignment was so bad that the tires had to be replaced within a few months, also one of the tires had lugnuts that were not tightened down and fell off shortly after leaving

  I've brought multiple vehicles in and they do such a great job! They are honest about what your vehicle needs, which is super important. Dan has been nothing but helpful and friendly through all of the processes, highly recommend this garage!

  I had a really great experience at Monro’s in Wallingford today. I came in dealing with battery issues and feeling pretty stressed, and the team was kind, patient, and very helpful from the moment I arrived. They listened to my concerns, walked me through what they were going to do, and explained what they would be putting on the battery before getting started. What stood out to me most was how thorough they were. They took care of my battery, cleaned up all of the corrosion, and made sure everything was properly handled before I left. That attention to detail gave me a lot of peace of mind. The staff was professional, respectful, and honest, and they really helped turn a stressful situation into a positive experience. I truly appreciated their help and would definitely recommend this location to anyone needing car service. Thank you all again!

  I have been going to Monroe mufflers for years to do regular maintenance on my cars but an event in August can made me never go to this location again. I’ve been thinking on if I wanted to post a review but the big misstep should be noted. I brought my car into their shop for routine oil change and tire rotation. I also asked them to look at my check engine light and see what is the cause and provide me an estimate. They came back with a catalytic converter that needs to be replaced and quoted me 1900+ to do the job and told me my air filter needs to be replaced. I told them I would do the filter myself as it’s an easy replacement and I wanted to price the catalytic converter out before committing. (Which I found out was marked up 50%) When I pick up my car that same day, the guy at the counter told me. “Your air filter needs replacing.” As I said I’ll do that myself. His next response was, “Are you going replace the catalytic converter yourself too” in a very condescending tone. I shrugged it off, just paid for the services and left. In the few days, I’ve noticed a slight bumping sound and feel coming from my car. 3 days later I look around my car and notice that most of my luggage nuts are not on my car. Upon further inspection there were only 1-2 on each tire that were tightened and the rest were worked loose and fallen off the car or I could unscrew with my barehands. I called Monroe a bit irate as I had my son in this car and the wheels could have easily fallen off the car due to their negligence. To be fair, once I called and explained the situation. The manager rushed the job, got new lug nuts and tightened everything on the car at no cost to me. Also a different person who talked with me was understanding in my frustration but at the same time, mistakes like that could potentially kill someone. I do have videos and photos about the work that was done but I won’t share them here. So anyone who goes here should double check the work they do or look elsewhere for a mechanic service. I got lucky but others might not.
