Electronic issues constantly, forcing me to pay 100$ each time due to negligence of installer to correctly wire device. Company's service is beyond terrible. Attorney and now time to hold them accountable for gross negligence. Couldn't even install speaker correctly.

A maddening experience, to the extent that I am contemplating writing to the Motor Vehicle Commissioner for the State of Connecticut in addition to having the Hartford Courant and New Haven Register run a piece on the abysmal quality of service. I have spoken to three Connecticut State Representatives and four Connecticut State Senators. Apparently, I'm not the only one who has complained about Intoxilock. . It is apparent to me that Intoxilock has taken on more than it can competently handle.

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance.
