He took such care while doing it, it was like MY car was HIS car. He took his time to make sure things were done right, and was able to work through some corrosion on the terminals like a pro. There were a few other little things he explained would be a good idea since I'm swapping out the battery, and I did all of them since it made total sense how he explained it to me. Thanks, Casey! The selection for parts at the store was also great, and the battery and other parts I needed was in stock.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
