- JDJohn DalterioNov 8, 20252.0Purchased a $280 battery for my 2012 Volvo XC70 in part due to the convenience and free installation offer, only to waste an hour of my time and return the battery because the crew’s memory saver was broken and they did not have a replacement part. The Vernon location also does not have a memory saver, so my next best option was the Windsor location, which is about 22 minute drive away. Two stars because the tech was a nice guy and they tried to fix their memory saver, only to get a replacement fuse stuck inside it 🤦🏻♂️ They are offering a service that they cannot provide.

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
