Stopped in today to replace a windshield wiper blade and the store was very busy but the staff was pleasant to everyone. Had to wait a little while for them to help me install it but everyone on the staff apologized for the wait.

The Vernon location also does not have a memory saver, so my next best option was the Windsor location, which is about 22 minute drive away. Two stars because the tech was a nice guy and they tried to fix their memory saver, only to get a replacement fuse stuck inside it 🤦🏻♂️ They are offering a service that they cannot provide.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
