  I have a 2014 Ford Focus with 36,840 miles on it. My transmission started to hesitate and then the reverse stopped working. I bought it off a private owner a few years ago so no warranty. I brought it to Ford Dealership in Hamden,CT. and had them check out what’s wrong and how much to fix it. They called me and said it will costs $9,348 to fix!! I took my car to Affordable Transmission and he gave me a price to rebuild it for approximately $4000. They also have a payment option which is great because who has $4000 sitting around nowadays. You also get a year warranty on your transmission which is great!!! I did have to bring it back because it started to buck when at a complete stop. It took them around 2 1/2 weeks but that’s because the government shutdown messed up everything, so not their fault. I waited around 6 months before putting this review on Goggle. I highly recommend this place to everyone that has transmission issues!!! My car is running better than it did when I bought it, I wanna thank Affordable Transmission for a great job.

  I had a great experience here, Warren was amazing. Jerry’s in Guilford said I had an expensive part that needed to be replaced on the transmission. Warren said he could do it for half the price on my 2014 Subaru. He helped me when I was in a pinch over the summer! Took my car in the same day I called and had it back to me within 3 days. Amazing team here!

  I brought my Kia into affordable transmissions with a check engine light on. I did not have an appointment, but Warren said he would get the car taken care of immediately. it ended up being an oxygen sensor that needed to be replaced. The car was fixed within an hour and a half of me waiting. The price was very fair and they even offered me a ride to a local business if I wanted to do some shopping or grab something to eat while the car is being repaired. I decided just to wait there. warren kept me informed about what was being done. He made me laugh with his conversation and how he interacted with his employees. It felt like a family environment with the way i felt welcomed. I will most definitely be returning when my car needs any more repairs.

  Recently had my wife’s car blow her engine, I received quotes from a few different companies. Thankfully I contacted Affordable Transmissions, Warren, walked us through the entire process of replacing our engine, his quote was fair, the work was done in a timely manner and we couldn’t be happier with the results. I highly recommend using Affordable Transmissions for all your car needs, friendly, professional and most importantly never felt like we were a bother with all our questions. Great to deal with so glad someone recommended this shop to us…
