Visited the location on 3/11 for an oil change and tire rotation. Gentleman there also told me I should do a wheel alignment given the 44k mileage on the car. Paid $160 for the service and waited 2+ hours. Now I’m getting an alert from my car that my oil life is at 6%. Oil change was never performed. Won’t be coming back at all.

I'd post no stars if I could. Went by there recently and was quoted just under $3,000. for spark plugs, wires and a coil pack. The OEM spark plugs are $50 for the set, and he was trying to charge me $50 per plug. He was asking $150 per wire, and a full set cost $50 for the best quality available on the market. He was asking $250 for the coil pack, and the OEM part is around $120. On top of that he padded hours and hours of labor for a job that takes about 3 hours tops for an amateur while calling himself a master technician. It's tax time and he saw a woman he thought he could take advantage of. Prior to this, I asked about a young man who used to work there who diagnosed and repaired my previous car and was a really nice guy fair and honest.. I couldn't remember his name but I described him and was told he was fired for stealing. While he was putting together his ridiculous quote the phone rang and I heard him say what's up Edwin? That was the guy's name I had asked about, instantly remembered when I heard it. Guess he wasn't fired! Grabbed my keys and ran.

I strongly advise against going to the Monro Auto Service and Tire in Derby, CT. I had my catalytic converter replaced there last February, and less than a year later, I had to pay to have the same repair done again. It was not honored under any warranty. When I spoke with the manager, he was dismissive, rude, and showed no interest in taking responsibility or offering a solution. On top of that, I had my brakes done there this past November, and I already needed to replace them again. That is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the quality of their work. I took my vehicle to Meineke in Ansonia instead, and the difference was clear. They were transparent, professional, and took the time to explain everything without making me feel taken advantage of. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.
