  I own several cars but have a main car that I drive daily to work so that is the car that I decide to wash most of the time as the others don't get driven regularly. I usually go to the car wash on lower main Street in Bridgeport, near downtown. You know the car wash, the large one that I believe is called VIP. I have been going there for years and to be quite honest they have gotten really expensive for a car wash. I knew about Shine Time for the last 40 years, it's always been there, I just never stop there because I always went to another car wash. Upon rolling in the attendant informed me about the unlimited monthly plan. I already have enough subscription so I declined. So I went through the carwash and it does have a lot of brushes which I like, even though the car wash itself seems to be a little on the older side it does do a really good job of washing your car. They use a lot of suds and their brushes seem made of canvas not plastic. The brushes go as low as your wheels, the side of the car, the front and back of the car, and the top of the car. Very important. And I believe the lower brushes only clean the lower side of the car so there is no cross contamination. At VIP, unless you paid an extra $4 I believe they don't clean your wheels, which is pretty outrageous since the car wash cost $20. If you wanted everything cleaned inside and out You're talking about almost $30! I like the way the car came out the first time I went through so the following week I went back and I got the monthly subscription for $22 a month plus tax, and that was about 2 months ago. So far every time I go through the car is clean. Sometimes I stop to vacuum, sometimes I don't. It's very confidence inspiring too know that whenever your car gets bird poop on it, or mud splashed on it, or really anything that you feel brings down the look of your car you can just drive in, it will automatically scan your windshield, and you're out of there pretty much a few minutes. A little longer if you want to vacuum and refresh interior. Here are the positives. 1. Outside of one dude who is a little on the introverted side I'd say the staff is wonderful and always helpful. After you've been there a couple times they remember you and I always give them a wave and they always wave back nicely. I don't always have cash to tip them but I always let them know that I appreciate them being out there in these Arctic temperatures. 2. The convenience of being right on main Street, right near the Merritt parkway ramp, right near all those places to eat is great. I grab a car wash, then a bite to eat, and then I'll get back on the merit for the 10 minute drive home. 3. The free towels at every station, the car air fresheners, the general cleaning solution to maybe do a little spot checks on those tougher stains is great! The towels are always super clean and fluffy! They are all nice microfiber towels and are wonderful for drying off the exterior for any spots and getting rid of all that dust in the interior. Here are a couple things that I think they can improve. 1. When you see me come in with a lot of bird poop, tree sap, or anything like bugs or other sticky stuff please make sure to hit the car extra hard with the power wand! The car wash itself will usually not get rid of that stuff and I have to spend some time cleaning it myself, which I don't want to do. 2. If you see that I've got a ton of debris from a tree like leaves and little berries and nuts and stuff in the seams of the trunk, hood, around the hood cowl by the wipers please get in there with the power washer. That stuff accumulates and it blocks your drains. 3. Please refill the air fresheners and cleaning solutions more often, a lot of the time they are empty. I know they get a lot of use. That's it, I'm very glad that I got the monthly membership and I enjoy having a clean car all the time!   Terrible customer service. The fool inside the hummer had the audacity to tell me I was wasting chemicals. I've been to car washes in all states never experienced such horrible customer service.

  Quick and simple at checkin and while I was vacuuming a worker offered to wash my weathertech mats off for me. Nice touch. And towels provided for drying.
