- RBRandy BrownNov 16, 20251.0Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience with this boatyard. I had them replace the skylight on my Beneteau 40 sailboat. I furnished the new skylight from the Beneteau factory. Their estimate for the labor only was $2,750. I thought this was on the high side, but I agreed. I was shocked to get an invoice for $6,063. During the process of removing the skylight from the deck, they ripped out gelcoat, and this needed repair as part of the job. I'm an experienced yacht rigger. If they used the proper tools and technique for this job (such as using a multi-tool to work the skylight out with some patience), this would not have happened. I felt liked I was ripped off, being charged for paying for the damage they did to my deck. I would NOT recommend them for this type of work!
