  I went to Brakes Plus on 405 W. 120th last week. I knew my right front strut had a leak and also needed rotars and pads. I waited over half an hour and one of the techs came out and asked me to follow him back into the shop. They raised the hoist and one tech reved my engine while the one next to me pointed up at the bottom of the car and asked if I saw movement there when the engine was reved. I said no. He told me I needed all new motor mounts and transmission mount. Told me they couldn't repair what I asked about until this was done first. Mind you, there's no noise when I drive, there's a slight vibration in the steering wheel at about 75 or 80mph. They gave me an estimate of $2800 dollars for repairs and labor. Told me to take the side roads home and not drive over 40mph. Thank goodness I have a trusted friend who has worked on cars for over 40 years. He lifted it up, checked it out and said the motor mounts are fine. Just need new struts, rotars and pads. I guess being a woman, you walk into a place like that and are assumed to be ignorant about vehicles. I will never go here again. I've also heard a couple of other stories about how Brakes Plus tries to fabricate problems in order to charge more to customers. Bad Bad Business Practice gentlemen!!

  Dustin was very helpful with my service today! After the oil change he was very thorough in going through the list of items he recommended for future service. He went above and beyond by even showing me the different areas on my vehicle that needed future service and why. While Going through the list of items, he was also able to help me prioritize which items should be worked on initially vs which ones I can work on later. This helps me to be able to budget for upcoming services. He was very friendly and knowledgeable!

  I had such a great experience at this shop! I came in for an alignment and even without an appointment they took me in right away. As a woman, it can be hit-or-miss at repair shops, but I felt genuinely respected here. They explained everything clearly without mansplaining, brushing off my questions, or talking to me like I didn’t know anything. Every detail was walked through in a way that made me feel informed and included, not talked down to. On top of that, the team was incredibly friendly to everyone who walked through the door. You can tell they really care about their customers. It’s rare to find a shop that’s honest, welcoming, and this professional. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend them! While everyone was great Robbie was my point person during the repairs.

  I had the misfortune of returning home from a trip to a dead battery in my vehicle. I called James at Brakes Plus. He told me they had a battery in stock and could install it that day. I drove straight there after having my car jump started and Chris and James had me in and out of the store with a new battery in less than 1/2 an hour. They were both very polite and helpful. I would highly recommend them.

  As a small business owner myself i truly appreciate and know how important it is to have good customer service and communication. Nobody ever expects unexpected expenses on vehicles, but unfortunately that is life, i went in the other day before thinking it was the serpentine belt and possibly the brakes. Those were bad, got them fixed to wake up and it acting the same problematic as the day before, went right back in. They got me in right away. And even though there were hiccups of getting a new alternator as I have an older vehicle and finding parts can be challenging. These days they stuck with it. And got the job done. I've been coming to this brakes plus since chris woods used to work there and have always had a great experience of customer service.And quality work thank you Sean at the thornton 120th store for all your hard work as well as your team in back....
