  I went to this location because I saw a $20 off oil change coupon online. Everything went smoothly until checkout, when they told me this location doesn’t accept coupons. That information should be disclosed when customers arrive, not when it’s time to pay. It feels misleading and could definitely be handled better.

  Extremely dangerous experience and racist treatment. DON'T GO. On Friday, February 7, I went to Grease Monkey in Silverthorne to change the two front tires of my Honda Civic and the four brake pads. From the beginning the experience was bad. The mechanic who attended me was rude and racist, he treated me in a derogatory way for being Latino and not speaking perfect English. The treatment was humiliating and totally unacceptable. Without explaining the cost beforehand, in the end they charged me $420.72, and the only thing they told me was that they did not guarantee their work. The worst came later: On the night of Saturday, February 8, around 10:30 p.m., the tires exploded due to the excessive pressure with which they were inflated. I lost control of the vehicle and went off the road. I could have died. I had to change the tires in extreme cold, I was exposed for hours and ended up sick, all because of the negligent and dangerous work they did in this place. This business is not only expensive, but irresponsible. Its employees do not act as professional mechanics, and the treatment towards Latino customers is clearly discriminatory. 👉 I do not recommend this place under any circumstances. 👉 They risk your life, charge you without warning and treat you badly. If their only job is to change tires, they don't even know how to do that. Avoid this place. They are irresponsible and racist.

  I’ve been sitting here for 10 minutes in front of the bay. Staff opening and closing bay doors, moving cars, and never once making eye contact, saying hello or telling me they’ll be right with me. It’s one of the rudest and most dismissive experiences I’ve had at a business Update: They posted a response asking me to contact them. I did a week ago. They ignored my email too. Par for the course.

  Before going in I received 2 online coupons for this store. One was for $20 off any oil change and the other was for $10 off if you bring in a sticker from another company showing that you switched to them. I told the serviceman the first time he came to my window and about 10 minutes later another guy came and said they wouldn’t honor them. I told them I’d go somewhere else but they had already drained my oil. The owner came out and said it was a scam, although I’m not sure who’s scamming who when nobody received money for the scam. I told the owner I was going to write a bad review and never come back because he decided not to honor his own coupons and he said ok, so here’s the review. I’ll never go to another Grease Monkey again. Not because of the money but because of the principle. If you say well that’s just one location, but he said it was probably a corporate coupon after he said it was a scam and nobody told him about it. So this shows an institutional problem not just a single location. I drive 6,000 miles a month and get my oil changed once a month and because of this one franchise owner I will never go to another Grease Monkey. Not to mention I was get my tires fixed at the tire shop he owns next door while this was happening. Him and Grease Monkey lost thousands of dollars a year in business over a couple bucks and lack of communication. Talk about a quick way for a new owner to tank a business.
