One was for $20 off any oil change and the other was for $10 off if you bring in a sticker from another company showing that you switched to them. I told the serviceman the first time he came to my window and about 10 minutes later another guy came and said they wouldn’t honor them. I told them I’d go somewhere else but they had already drained my oil. The owner came out and said it was a scam, although I’m not sure who’s scamming who when nobody received money for the scam. I told the owner I was going to write a bad review and never come back because he decided not to honor his own coupons and he said ok, so here’s the review. I’ll never go to another Grease Monkey again. Not because of the money but because of the principle. If you say well that’s just one location, but he said it was probably a corporate coupon after he said it was a scam and nobody told him about it. So this shows an institutional problem not just a single location. I drive 6,000 miles a month and get my oil changed once a month and because of this one franchise owner I will never go to another Grease Monkey. Not to mention I was get my tires fixed at the tire shop he owns next door while this was happening. Him and Grease Monkey lost thousands of dollars a year in business over a couple bucks and lack of communication. Talk about a quick way for a new owner to tank a business.
